Me too Matt though I do fear that after the div is paid that we will see the share price back under 30p again. Peeps just do not seem to get the story here and it's been going on for years. A quarterly divi would go a long way to stopping this.

13.5% Yield … incredible.
Just 5.33 years at that rate to double your investment. Surely not a difficult decision for Value investors.
Once these Results are out and the Dividend conformed, then various sites like Stocko will update with the correct Yield figure (at present they are wrong) & this will get on more people's radar so, I see the opportunity narrowing rapidly

April running out next Friday and so if they are sticking to the timetable, which I have no doubt they will, then got to be by then.

Good question. I asked this a while back - see message 3261 and wilo101 gave a reasonable answer message 3262.

Why did this share price never recover from the end of 2008 where other similar companies share price has?

Just market makers making a market. They've got to be seen to be doing something.

You'd think it had gone ex-divi today :-)

Thanks for summarising that Mattjos. I certainly couldn't pluck up the courage to read it!!!

The April SEB House View is now out:

They are the seller of STCM shares at present and they seem more interested in Growth than in Value …. I would suggest STCM is clearly categorised as Value rather than Growth and hence their likely intent to dump their entire holding.

Cantor seem to have been given the job to dispose on their behalf

Thanks hercule/wilo. I had also missed that post somehow.

thanks 1hercule … I had missed that earlier post

Thanks wilo for sharing the note.

Exactly as I had expected then … 1p interim & 4p final for 5p total. At 40p buy price is 12.5% Yield.
Really should put a floor in the price around here although the ex-date for the FY divi is likely to have a noticeable impact on the quoted price given their respective sizes.
That divi looks well covered to me.

I am more than happy to take the divi & look to keep adding to my holding whilst waiting the inevitable consolidation developments in the sector.

Is note available anywhere online or is it still VTB clients only?

I saw that wilo, which seems rather mean considering the same note is also projecting a final divi of 4p & interim 1p going forwards. Im not aware of any other listed share that currently offers that rate of return

VTB have installed a new £0.47p per share target price in the short term, in a research note published yesterday, as above.

"All's well that end's well" - As long as the inflation noted by King Suarez above doesn't turn into hyperinflation your £1 coins for 40p sounds quite feasible.

it's not for us to try and fathom out the actions of a fund like SEB ... I receive their monthly market review letter and how they allocate their investments. From what I have seen, they do tend to flip-flop a bit & so a big holding in STCM probably too illiquid for them.
Their actions simply present us with the opportunity & once they are sold down, I just don't believe we'll STCM shares offered at 40p or under again so, one way or another I keep finding the cash to buy more, while £1 coins are on offer at 40p
