22/1/2004 21:14 | Gateside...whilst I think SGI are still a good buy at current levels I can understand your disappointment at missing the rise,However if you want a solid safe stock, with good growth potential look at Mayborn (MBY).Theres some excellent research posted by CR among others on the MBY thread and also on CRs 100% thread.Slightly riskier but with good upside potential is Pilat Media (PGB).After lying dormant for a long time this ones attracting some interest now and could rise rapidly over the course of the next few weeks. Good hunting my friend! | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 20:53 | Thanks for kind words about suggesting that I still buy some SGI. I liked these when they were 40p and while I was waiting for a cheque to clear from the ISA that I sold they went up to 48p and there was nothing that I could do about it. Just frustrated to have missed out on another rise due to a typo on my part when ordering shares first thing today. Unless they drop back I'll be on the lookout for the next SGI. nurdin... any other share suggestions? | ![]() gateside
22/1/2004 20:30 | Nice one guys on this one. Don / Nurdin / CR anymore gems worth getting into that have appeared on the radar of sharescope? Enjoy the ride, is it worth buying on today's rise? | learningtrader
22/1/2004 20:14 | Gateside re buying SGI. If the forecast due end of march is raised slightly to 6p. Then I think we will see at least 80p soon after. What I'm really interested in is the forecast for 2005, even if growth falls to 50%, it means SGI will make around 9p EPS. There could also be a large increase in the dividend. It may take a while to get there but its increasingly looking like £1 is on the cards. | ![]() mo123
22/1/2004 19:10 | cheers barnetpeters..it is pleasing to see that others also see value in a stock that you have researched...the rise today was most welcome ;o) | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 19:04 | Nurdin - bet you are a happy bunny tonight. You were proclaiming SGI when it was stuck below 40p. Well done chum. | ![]() barnetpeter
22/1/2004 18:53 | Well done dazza..I note prvd are up 1,5% with nasdaq going the opposite direction..:o) | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 18:37 | having bought in @40 and 41 i was very tempted today, especially when the system at work is right infront of me. Resisted!!!! Bought into CSV, according to my charting it should also move nicely tomorrow. Already sold but have a look at DGM, i heard from a colleague the company is meeting with institutions in the next couple of weeks. Should get some interest. Back to SGI ive always had a target of 70p since november last year. I only hope i can not press the button in the run up till then. | ![]() daza70
22/1/2004 17:45 | Thanks nurdin... I b*ggered up the order form, typing it in first thing this morning, will not be buying any SGI now, may well just add to my holdings in MBY and VCP, if I find any other shares, I'll post them on CR's 100% thread :-( | ![]() gateside
22/1/2004 17:38 | Gateside..I know it is painful to pay 20% more than your expected entry price, but theres atleast another 50% in these. If you can find a stock which you can confidently predict to show that level of rise, let me know | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 17:28 | Looks like I bought more at the right time the other day-I knew 48p was too cheap! | tonyx
22/1/2004 17:28 | Put an order in to BUY this morning, as I was going to be out all day, But the b*gger did not process. O' well that's SGI off my monitor and I'll have to go back to scratch and start looking for something else. Never seem to have any luck at this game. | ![]() gateside
22/1/2004 17:17 | Don - I wasn't refering to SGI as a penny tech stock, quite the opposite. Sorry for the misunderstanding. | ![]() chester
22/1/2004 17:16 | I am very confident they will...do bear in mind they have increased hits on their websites by 100% in a year, wouldnt be surprised if the hits mushroom to 16-20m per month another year out! | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 17:11 | Ebay Inc (EBAY) The company has raised its revenue and profit estimates for 2004. Hope SGI does the same. | ![]() mo123
22/1/2004 16:13 | I think the big institutions are only now seeing the potential of SGI, because of its small size, it wasn't on their radar screens. If we end strong today it could be another good day tomorrow. Keeping hold of mine until I see the next share price forecast. | ![]() mo123
22/1/2004 15:52 | Yes I think the technical term is "A*SE" | ![]() kael
22/1/2004 15:33 | Just can't the thought of stumping up an extra 20% + when first spotted them around 45p. There must be an investors term for this complant... I'll watch and good luck to those already in. Regards ZZZ | ![]() zorija
22/1/2004 15:32 | Bye the way, follow those big highs up the chart and the top end of the trading range looks like 65p ish. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/1/2004 15:30 | I'm inclined to run my profits and dump my losers. Have quite a few up very nicely like HEM, up nearly 70% since the end of Dec but a lot of these stocks are very over-sold or under-bought. Could have sold HEM a few days ago for 50% in a fortnight or so but how would I feel now. I can only see SGI significantly higher as the results approach - with these just a month and a half away I'd guess we'll see strong buying in the weeks ahead. Holding and expecting 70p+ in the medium term myself. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/1/2004 15:16 | didnt want to tempt fate:o)... but you could be right.... | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 15:16 | Nice one skyship a profit is a profit..good luck. However, as I have had these a long time with a lot, having sold some, then added again, I may take a few off the top due to the rapid rise today but will continue to hold bulk. I intend using these funds in MLB. Still a big fan of SRI & holder long term. | ![]() clocktower
22/1/2004 15:15 | Revised my calculations and given the growth factor.... Iw ould say that you are being conservative nurdin, they could be valued at a market cap of at least double what it is now. | ![]() kael
22/1/2004 15:13 | 65p before the results looks to be on the cards..75p soon after I reckon. | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 15:02 | skyship..you jumped too early my friend...get back in again lol | ![]() nurdin |
