22/1/2004 14:39 | 50% is enough for me, so right or wrong - bye for now. Hi Chester, we seem to be buying the same stocks - hope you bt SEY, or in the cheap way through FOG - still offered @ 40p , equiv to 11.43p. | ![]() skyship
22/1/2004 12:47 | Okay, missed this but look at VCP and MBY - both as cheap or cheaper imo - CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/1/2004 12:43 | CR MISS OUT ... I WILL STARTING BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU SAY ONE DAY ... SOON? | alfwilson
22/1/2004 11:55 | This is not a tech penny now chester..It has a solid business backing and world wide growth going for it on a low cost basis. No hype here. | ![]() clocktower
22/1/2004 11:19 | Thanks Don. I do have sharescope but the Data Mining I find hard to get my head round. I much prefer to go for the 'steady' long termers, like Clarkson, rather than the tech 'pennies' which are obviously having their day presently. | ![]() chester
22/1/2004 10:58 | Thanks clocktower....it needed some pushing..but gems dont need that much of a shove really. You did well to start the original thread..thats what caught my eye! | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 10:52 | Since this thread started the volume of interest has expanded by the numbers of posts..Nice one nurdin.. | ![]() clocktower
22/1/2004 10:41 | plus good NAV, good use of the web, see ebay and qxl and good loyal customer base. 8 million hits a month. all in all top share | ![]() cambium
22/1/2004 10:36 | And I couldn't even factor in low gearing, EPS growth rate, enterprise value, and cash flow.......which all add to the SGI fundies picture. Don | ![]() don carter
22/1/2004 10:33 | Yes - holding VCP and BBC and consider them both deadly cheap. SGI definitely in that ilk imo. CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/1/2004 10:31 | Chester, Basically the fantasist's mix of lowish p/e, low peg, decent profit, decent ratio of profit to turnover, and positive broker consensus.....It also came up with companies like BBC, PSN and VCP, as the guys on this BB will not be surprised to hear. I think several of us are into the same stocks. BBC and VCP have been fantastic investments for me, but I was already in them enough so I went for SGI. Don | ![]() don carter
22/1/2004 10:29 | Anyone remember AMR? I think SGI has the potential to make that seem distinctly average. The chart is following similar themes but a lot more explosive on SGI's part. | ![]() kael
22/1/2004 10:09 | Don - Well done for getting in early on these. I'd be interested to hear of what details you put into the Sharescope Data Mining to bring this one up. Thanks. | ![]() chester
22/1/2004 10:05 | A Hamlet moment :-) Will add that to my vocabulary - cheers CR cue Air on a G String. | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/1/2004 10:02 | Isn't it a good feeling when you do your homework and it pays off? As I said in my post of Nov 18th on the other thread: "Using Sharescope's data-mining facility, came up with these....look ready for sustained growth to me...nice hedge in today's market...charts look very promising. Bought in today as LTH." Well, that paid for Sharescope for a few years! Forgive the Hamlet moment chaps....doesn't happen all the time, promise! Just can't avoid a smile on this one. Plenty more to go yet; plenty. Don | ![]() don carter
22/1/2004 09:54 | Nice, and not before time - still think there's plenty more before and on the results. Did you buy Alf? CR | ![]() cockneyrebel
22/1/2004 09:48 | Up and away I see today..Did not retrace as much as expected but next ceiling now before it does, I expect. | ![]() clocktower
22/1/2004 09:40 | quite right. The current price will look seriously cheap when they announce their results first week in March! | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 09:37 | As CR said a few days ago. Any company that can grow earnings 70% this year and next deserves to be on a P/E of at least 14. That gives us a share price around 80p. Still more to come! | ![]() mo123
22/1/2004 09:22 | it took me ages to even get a small amount LOLthen they moved price up to 53p... gl all...will use another day to get some more...I do believe there isnt much stock left... | ![]() kael
22/1/2004 09:22 | enjoying the ride guys?? lol | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 09:12 | livinhope..good on you..although SGI doesnt move that much on small volumes.I reckon there are buys in the background which may appear later on | ![]() nurdin
22/1/2004 09:08 | I bought some this morning at 47p and again at 48p. I am amazed the effect that these purchases have had on the price. Bags of potential for further increase IMHO. | ![]() livinginhope
22/1/2004 09:05 | ebay reported great results yesterday Mo...shows that on line auctions market is going like clappers..SGI are in a prime position to capture a good chunk of their £9bn plus market through their web sites...qxl step aside lol | ![]() nurdin |
