12/5/2017 09:26 | pi0110, thanks. Yes, Hawkeye 360 seems to focus on a range of electromagnetic frequency ranges, with a view to analysing this spectrum, so I guess Maritime Domain Awareness is not a primary function, and it is not really a competitor (at least at the moment). | buddyboy5
11/5/2017 19:06 | Buddy There are more knowledgeable posters on here than me but this... "HawkEye 360 expects to differentiate from other Automatic Identification System (AIS)-collecting entities by its ability to independently geolocate a ship’s AIS broadcast. This will allow HawkEye 360 to compare the self-reported geolocation to its own calculated geolocation, and identify ships that are misrepresenting their true locations." leads me to believe that it is an add on feature rather than a true Maritime Domain Awareness system. | pi0110
11/5/2017 17:58 | Piedro, you are welcome. re Indonesia VMS article, we try to comment when I get time, in meantime this link describes SRT's MDM, VMS and VTS systems | the prophet
11/5/2017 17:51 | Hi, I'm an avid SRT investor, but this is first post here. Has anyone come across HawkEye 360? Is this a competing technology or completely irrelevant? | buddyboy5
11/5/2017 14:35 | TP, Thank you for pointing it out ... This part like HF-AIS ensures you have the best AIS experience possible. Make sure the next AIS transceiver you buy has HF-AIS. Look out for the HF-AIS logo. Warning: some AIS transceiver manufacturers falsely claim to have HF-AIS. If you are in any doubt, please email hfais@srt-marine.com with the name of the product and we will confirm if it is enabled with HF-AIS. PS - I would be grateful if you could make any comments re: the previous Indonesia VMS article {we are here to learn} | piedro
11/5/2017 11:12 | Had a second listen to the recent web-cast, there are a lot of very positive items in the 'cast that you can miss first time around. eg, with SRT's HF-AIS transponders you can see up to 30% more targets than the competition. That is a great advantage and shows why SRT are leading the way in this market You can read about it here: on a general point, it would be good to get the thread back to the informative and interesting thread it always used to be. No problems with bull or bear views and always time for a bit of banter. I believe we are in for some very exciting times ahead. This company has changed out of all recognition over the last few years and I believe we are sitting pretty to reap the rewards of all the ground-work the SRT team have done over the years. I've not been posting as much, but it's hard to keep away! Good luck to all. | the prophet
10/5/2017 22:44 | Squeal BJ1, I got you squealing like a prized pig. Ha ha ha | pi0110

10/5/2017 08:26 | Oh dear. Writing happy in capitals looks like an over-compensation. Bit like Trump taking up half the page for his signature. | yump
10/5/2017 08:09 | eagle..maybe better to keep your nose out! ha ha! I'm HAPPY here. | hjb1
10/5/2017 08:04 | hjb1, Maybe better to spend your time on investments that tick your boxes rather than waste time on companies that fail to meet your requirements. | eagle eye
10/5/2017 07:50 | SRT has a new broker. If an institution wishes to take a stake (minimum 2 million?) it would not be an easy deal. Stock is tightly held. | countryman5
09/5/2017 22:41 | truth hurts as they say, hey Laval, the babies here need some help.. ha ha! | hjb1
09/5/2017 22:32 | goodapple I think its OK. Some humour interrupted by the odd thing coming out from under its stone, while we wait for the next lot of news. | yump

09/5/2017 21:53 | take tinteds off will ya! same old story, heard all this years ago ffs! as I said just a little balance does no harm, someone has to keep a lid on it.Hardly much profit is it? have they paid off the £1m loan they had? Their business area is growing enormously...is it? no evidence rgds revenue They are a market leader.,,,not THE market leader according to others! Their turnover is going through the roof...is it?..barely £11m and missed targets Their profit will equally go through the roof...er no it won't!! CEO targets, ha ha! yeah right! | hjb1
09/5/2017 21:34 | SRT is a profitable company with no debt. Their business area is growing enormously. They are a market leader. Their turnover is going through the roof. Their profit will equally go through the roof. If this is wrong then please correct me. It is not exactly difficult to make money with this share.... CEO's targets are 75p and £1.25. | yumyum
09/5/2017 21:27 | pi0110 I'll get me coat. Actually not sure it was me that did it. I wasn't the 3rd person to mention his name. Does a screen that's slightly reflective count as a mirror ? | yump
09/5/2017 15:59 | who's got out the bed the wrong side today eh pi0110...lmao...neve just like to put a bit of balance to things, and tough if you don't like it, go and cry somewhere else..ha ha ha ha!! | hjb1
09/5/2017 14:48 | I propose pi0110's post as Post of the Day. Made me laugh.......and yet added no useful information. Whatev's.... | philburt |
