13/4/2017 08:08 | I wonder how many folk are kicking themselves for not buying more on the low - I am, although being too overweight is not really a good thing in a portfolio. Had my last lot at 40p and its back there, so sitting on hands. | yump
13/4/2017 08:05 | Strong opening | trident5
13/4/2017 08:05 | Thanks to my excellent education I deduce its PBT: Subject to audit, for the year ended 31 March 2017 the Company expects to report revenue of GBP11 million, which is ahead of last year and profit before tax of GBP1.2 million which is significantly ahead of market expectations. I think PBT is the one that counts, seeing as so many companies use everything except that, often to avoid the truth. | yump
13/4/2017 07:53 | depends on the type of profit...which the dont say. | king kong dong
13/4/2017 07:48 | Well given that significantly higher profit figure on revenue that is a bit higher than last year, any increases in revenue are going to have a very interesting effect, to say the least. | yump
13/4/2017 07:46 | There was a loss before tax of £1.2m at half time, so strong profit generation in 2H. | trident5
13/4/2017 07:22 | That sounds a lot better than I was fearing. Turnover at 11m is disappointing given the expectations of 9 months ago, but the cash balance is reassuring. Maybe this year *will* be the year :-) | fft
13/4/2017 07:20 | Unfortunately they have still come in at below market expectations of 12m, which was a low ball projection considering the opportunities that are touted. It would seem that they have had revenue intake of 8.3m in the second half which is likely to equate to a tad over 5m on project work - this is what has bumped the margins up so that profits are ahead, project work is higher margin than core. Moving in the right direction but revenues are not as high as I'm expecting according to the expectations that SRT have given out to shareholders. That being said, I believe it's just taken longer than expected but the evidence is here via the VoP pipe line and order book that we're moving towards higher revenue. IMO | owenski
13/4/2017 07:04 | Simon Tucker, CEO of SRT said: "I am delighted to be reporting profits which are well ahead of market expectations. This reflects the benefits of our strategic decision in 2013 to develop a range of maritime domain awareness system solutions for ports, fisheries and coast guards. During the year SRT has made significant progress across all our business segments, OEM & Module, em-trak, and Systems, delivering high quality products and solutions to customers across the world. Notably, in addition to those projects under contract and recently signed, we have also seen excellent progress with a number of our validated sales pipeline opportunities moving closer to contract and thus revenues and I look forward to updating the market in due course when they convert | broadwood
13/4/2017 07:04 | On track TU. | obiterdicta
11/4/2017 09:48 | ...and a cash raising? | yumyum
11/4/2017 09:38 | let's hope for one tomorrow then! As we have heard nowt so far then I expect income to be between £10.8m and £13.2m | hjb1
11/4/2017 07:19 | Never seen an RNS released on Easter Thursday that was good news for investors. Whatever it is they are waiting for, I wish they would just do it. | fft
10/4/2017 10:49 | Countryman5. Post 4811. What makes you think that the recently received order wasn`t from Saudi Arabia ?. | cervin1
10/4/2017 09:03 | yes, they will know the score @ 5pm 31st March rgds rev/income, so I suppose as we have heard nothing yet it must mean they are within the +/- 10% of forecast, which is good news! | hjb1
10/4/2017 07:20 | You would think that management accts for a company as small as SRT would be upto date on at least a weekly basis. So, what is holding up the update ? Perhaps they are talking to the auditors to see how much revenue (not cash or deliveries) can be booked in the period ?Le valmy is also quiet. The last fund raise was a couple of years ago at 18p to a large private shareholder. Are they doing the same again ?I hope they release something this week. I really would like some jam soon !! | fft
09/4/2017 10:35 | Where does the future of naval warfare lie? Is it guided missiles and drones? The multi billion companies selling such kit need reliable intelligence, they need the best. They need intelligence that can fuse AIS, radar and CCTV and then have the ability to analyse the relevant target so that their kit can take it out. The world is changing. | countryman5
08/4/2017 18:05 | Thank you for suggestions. I note the recent gallery photograph. It would appear that Bahrain, being exceedingly pleased with their SRT kit, are extolling its virtues to their neighbour in Dubai. SRT must be more than pleased with Bahrain as their sales rep. We know that another ME Country has just come on board and Saudi is moving forward. These ME Countries work together on security and I believe that they will all follow Bahrain. If all ME countries buy into SRT's MDM system it will be clearly the world leader. How do you value such a company????? | countryman5
08/4/2017 12:28 | We need to get back onto the subject now guys, I feel, as interesting a diversion as it was. TU next week? Just a guess, but surely soon | the prophet
07/4/2017 15:17 | Perhaps a 'list for Countryman' thread is needed - this has got a bit silly. Nothing like SRT mentioned yet, its becoming a 'what I fancy at the moment' set of suggestions. There are threads for growth stock suggestions after all, even if most of the ones posted on them are only growth stocks in someone's imagination. | yump
07/4/2017 13:54 | Volvere -look at the past and ongoing success of Melrose (MRO) to see the possibilities ! | 9degrees
07/4/2017 12:33 | P.S. Ref. OPTI They have gone down the food route rather than the time consuming pharma route so progress of their discoveries is much more streamlined. | barrieb
07/4/2017 12:18 | Countryman5 Another company worth looking into and would meet most of your criteria is OPTI. They are uniquely positioned to take advantage of the health benefits on the understanding of and the culture of the microbiome of the gut. They have multiple platforms that specialise in different areas of health and their products have been proven to work. The potential is awesome and they appear fully funded unless another acquisition is deemed necessary as they have just floated off SBTX a Manchester University spin out and retained +40%. They have world renowned partners with more major deals in the offing and more product launches in Q2. Hope you find them of interest. | barrieb |
