02/5/2017 09:04 | Good post TP. IMHO the $100m order book looks a tad light. The Far East contract of March 16 was reported to be worth $100m alone and we have had several contract announcements since then. Interesting news re performance of HF-AIS and development of new antenna. ST commented that SRT 'look forward to a very good year ahead'. Final results on Wednesday 7th June should make interesting reading. | eagle eye
02/5/2017 09:01 | TP I agree entirely. I think the segment reporting might help potential new investors understand the business better. My one nagging concern is that my jam pot label is curling up slightly on one side. Maybe I have mice in the pantry. | visionon
02/5/2017 09:01 | Buy some more. Sit on hands. | yump
02/5/2017 08:58 | Good summary TP. I agree, things looking very good. | billbyrne
02/5/2017 08:57 | Yes TP. It does seem that SRT have hit that sweet spot. Projects AND equipment doing well. £2 a share....might not look wrong a year from now. I hope LaV is in good health. | yumyum
02/5/2017 08:55 | YUMYUM very good point re project order book, £77m, not bad! With multiple projects now running have SRT finally hit that 'sweet spot'? Not too hard to see this at a couple of quid if things go well. Where's LaV? We miss you! | the prophet
02/5/2017 08:44 | All very positive. $100m project order book...approx £77m at current exchange rate. Imminent contract signings look on the cards. | yumyum
02/5/2017 08:40 | I didn't see it that way, I thought ST was relaxed and very confident. There were a number of items that caught my attention: Perhaps the main point to understand is that SRT have morphed over the last few years from a 'black box' provider to a Systems Solutions company, with all that that entails. SRT continuing to innovate and lead the way, 'dominant' market position HF-AIS sounds a good development, 30% more targets at greater range New antenna- sounds close to being a 'game changer' GeoVS so important toSRT, 50% of all R&D into GeoVS OEM modules-saw 30% growth last year Validated sales pipeline (VSP) is 'quite a bit bigger than last year', research note out later this year will give figures Many projects have advanced, some in contracts discussion, so not to far away Will provide financial upgrades to the market on contract news. Brexit, no effect on SRT Recurring revenue, lots of opportunities once a country has installed the system, eg Bahrain upgrades This looks , imo, a business that is primed and ready to fullfill the potential many of us believe it has. As ST said, this is an entirely different business to the one a few years ago and its looking very good indeed (last bit is my imo, just to be clear!) | the prophet
02/5/2017 08:29 | A less relaxed performance from ST today and it seems very much that we will only hear revenue related news when contracts are signed. Still investing in improvements to H/W and S/W. Bahrain upgrading - and this will be typical of new systems in future. Web cast is not going to ignite the share price in my view but steady as we go. "You have to be in to win" DYOR and all IMO | cliffpeat
01/5/2017 23:09 | FWIW, Big Data Brings Big Transparency to Indonesia’s Fisheries May 1, 2017 by Johnna Armstrong Indonesia is leading the way towards a new era of transparency in fisheries management by making its Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) data available to Global Fishing Watch (GFW). This is an unprecedented move. ... ... | piedro
01/5/2017 21:45 | I think SRT are already running GeoVs in a number of ports in Malasia. | owenski
01/5/2017 20:01 | New photo on the gallery...hopefully we'll find out more tomorrow. hxxp://srt-marine.co | techno20
29/4/2017 12:21 | Owenski, thanks. | brucie5
29/4/2017 11:40 | FT.Saudi security forces have foiled a daring seaborne attack on a Saudi Aramco fuel terminal that the kingdom blamed on Yemeni rebels. | countryman5
29/4/2017 11:24 | Yep, that sounds like me. My average is a bit higher though. | yumyum
29/4/2017 11:02 | YumYum - appreciate the advice. I have held SRT now for about 6/7 years, adding over time, and probably average about 25p. Like you, I think, I'm in for the long haul and expect £1 plus at some point and possibly a buyout. Will probably look to sell some along the way, but not this side of £1 unless there are clear warning signs. Appreciate it has risk, but happy to live with that. Phil | philburt
28/4/2017 16:44 | I think that little wiggle on the chart is what is called a flag and is a continuation pattern before another jump. | yump
28/4/2017 16:13 | Re, above Dolores, understand what you are saying, but checking last years expected project list on SRT's website (PDF) One can interpret what 'start' implies. | owenski
28/4/2017 16:10 | "this small initial order is an important milestone and 'marks the start' of the rollout". | owenski
28/4/2017 16:07 | Hi Owenski ., I am not sure that Saudi is a firm contract yet. | dolores123
28/4/2017 15:51 | Brucie 5 Looking through last FY's announcements it can be seen that currently SRT are engaged in '4 live projects', signed and started. From last years presentations a shrewd investor can probably glean which ones, on top of the Indonesian and Saudi ones, they are now contracted to deliver. Also the revenue can be ascertained. This revenue is looking likely to accelerate sharply over the next couple of years and hence the profitability. The recent TU with its 'ahead of profits' statement also gives substance that the 50% margin model may well be exceeded. The second half earnings were a sharp acceleration from previous 'second halves' and from the prior first half, ie, that was a big increase in revenue for the later part of the FY and it could be seen that the margins thus were clearly greater than 50%, possibly 60% even. Hence, a sign of things to come. IMO Hopefully Tuesdays webcast will prove illuminating. | owenski
28/4/2017 15:25 | Philburt....AIS and marine domain management is a very live and real market...newish technology. Growing quickly. Strategic importance. SRT look good...but be aware that the shares are thinly traded and market is precarious. Do not hesitate to take some profits at some point. SRT will not capture all the market by any means. I think we have seen the share price low point for a while. You need hmh 'henry' to drive them down again some time...if it is not too late. Approx quarterly webcasts will not help in that doom and gloom scenario..... Meantime I have been buying the last few weeks and am holding for the takeover. | yumyum
28/4/2017 15:20 | What makes you guys so confident? | brucie5
28/4/2017 14:48 | YumYum - I do hope so! My aim is to get my holding to 200k shares before it really takes off! lol | philburt
28/4/2017 14:46 | £1.60 next year perhaps. | yumyum |
