Hi Jaws

Good to meet you on Friday. Let's hope our shared interest in Canada comes up trumps.
I can't imagine too much has changed since the last trading statement a couple of weeks back.

Yes. I am sure a few chart students could point to signs this may re-trade a little. So long as the company continues to perform well so will the shares. Nothing goes up in a straight line, even SPRP. Again I am sure there are some clever folk nible enough to sell and buy back cheaper. I am not one of them and prefer to buy and hold.

It could go below the 3 quid but i doubt it will stay there with a trading update due in January.

They flagged up last month that they were trading ahead and the financial performance has continued to be strong and October was a record month for sales and profit.

It can only be peeps selling anything to lock in a profit against a back drop of falling market in particular oil sector. I too will be looking to add on any marked weakness, say sub 300.

Disco Dave......I know the feeling, but my experience is that the best investments I have made have been when I've bought at what was at the time an all time high.

SPRP was no different for me but as time moves on and share prices (in quality companies) appreciate then that previous all time high price looks a bloody bargain!

All the best with however you play it.

DiscodaveThink overall this share price is going up so the job of timing trades is kind of immaterial. Maybe the charts can help. I'll look at work tomorrow on Bloomberg.

Only 2% of homes in France have a smoke detector, 89% in England & Wales:HTTP://blogs.angloinfo.com/angloinfo-world-property/2014/02/28/smoke-detectors-compulsory-in-france-from-8-march-2015/DD

He definitely said 88% of UK households and a quick google suggests that this correct - surveys from both the fire service and local government confirm.

I suspect the 88% relates to tenanted properties?

Hi David,
The figure for the UK seems quite high, are you sure it's 88% of UK homes that have detectors? In my experience it's about 50-60% at best. Although the Fire Service have slowed down the rate at which they fit detectors there is still lots of potential in the UK as well as Europe. Many of the 10 year battery detectors first fitted in 2004/05 will need replaced soon too.
Cheers

davidosh,

now that makes more sense! thats whats been boggling me. If France has a requirement for all homes to be fitted with smoke detectors by March 2015 and its clear that that can't be done then SPRP has plenty of steam left for at least the next 3 years just in France alone.

Thanks for that input!
