14/8/2014 12:27 | I would also say general market malaise too - Sprue's price was rising with initial demand and interest, but sooner or later it was bound to suffer. Pity really, it doesn't deserve to. Still, interims soon, and possibly a trading update in advance. If Sprue is continuing to prosper in spite of "currency headwinds" (everyone calls it that!), then we might be looking at a slight re-adjustment. Maybe more if the there is decent out-performance. And remember too that the French market may come alive soon - isn't it early next year that the French will be unable to insure their properties without adequate smoke alarm protection? | themariner

14/8/2014 12:10 | Strength of the pound isn't helping, increasing the risk that the forecasts might not get met. 3800 | 3800
14/8/2014 10:19 | Have we dropped on news, or just general market malaise? | chizgreen68
14/7/2014 07:43 | Well done indeed. Now they are the size they are there are a lot of moving parts with different sectors at different stages of growth and currency issues on the buy and sell side so to keep hitting these numbers is a fantastic result. The question is does this mean a higher share price?. I suspect in the current markets we won't go much higher until we see the 2015 number firmed up. But great dividend and great team so very happy to hold for the longer term. Do we know at all if there another country after Germany and France that will take the regulations seriously ..probably can't expect that from some of the other larger countries in EU such as Spain and Italy | harrogate
14/7/2014 07:35 | H1 trading statement released which confirms strong trading in H1 with Op Profits "significantly ahead" of H1 2013. @Glasshalfull1: SPRP (Sprue Aegis) - H1 t/s confirms Op Profits "significantly ahead" of 2013 38% EPS growth forecast in 2014 #TMFPP German/European trading performing ahead of expectations, while offset with weaker Retail and contending with currency fluctuations. Pleasingly, they now have gained regulatory approval for the Nano which should result in considerable margin approvement in sales of CO detectors. Strong trading anticipated for H2 and hopefully this will include launch of their "Sona" range for Trade market and French sales finally kicking in. What does this translate into? Westhouse have 37.7% EPS growth factored in for this year with Sprue optimistic of meeting this. All that remains to say is well done to GW & team. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
