15/8/2006 11:21 | prokartace, thanks. Shows you just can't trust these websites!! 2nd time I've been spooked in last couple of days. | lyntwyn
15/8/2006 10:30 | Lyntwyn.....This is just out from Lehmans and is a downgrade and not a 45p target. 1026 GMT [Dow Jones] Lehman Brothers lowers Spirent Communications (SPM) target price to 54p from 59p. Cuts 06 EPS to 1.47p from 2.66p and in 07 to 2.6p from 3.44p. Follows 1H results and reflects the company's restructering late in 1H and continued delays to next generation networks activity. Maintains overweight rating. Trades +2.8% at 45.5p. (DWE) | prokartace
15/8/2006 08:42 | Starting commencing lift off and heading for 50pwhich will trigger buys after a snippet of press comment over the weekend most probably.Director buying and company Buyback of 900,000 shares is just the tip of confidece as news of Hanovers invovement starts to filter through.Hope there is no bid for at least 18 months as it would be on the cheap and shouldnt imagine Hanover will be in favour until we are way over 80/90p.Buy on the many dips as the MMs will be getting short of stock and start playing games to scare people into selling or taking any gains.DYOR. | martest
15/8/2006 08:16 | Lyntwyn --- Thanks very much. JB | baronet 1
15/8/2006 08:14 | Baronet1, maybe this your looking for,- not a very ambitious target though, lehman looking to catch it on the way down maybe! * Lehman Bros has an overweight rating and 45p target for Spirent (Citywire) | lyntwyn
15/8/2006 08:11 | This is looking very good so far today. A Broker upgrade that we yet do not know about, I wonder. JB | baronet 1

14/8/2006 20:50 | Nice one Dan - the board is alive again. | andaleg
14/8/2006 20:26 | Incisive, in-depth investigative financial journalism : 12.08.06: an article in the Telegraph reports: Spirent rose 1.50p to 44.75p amid talk of a bid. Come back EJ - all is forgiven ! | desperate dan
14/8/2006 19:50 | bot 124262etc. - lol | ruffjp
14/8/2006 16:19 | perhaps theyre punting on hanover this time rather than their own skills | bot53693752467
14/8/2006 15:16 | If the CEO and FD think the shares represent value at this level perhaps they should consider resuming the share buy back. | pdriccio
14/8/2006 12:35 | Yes I think you are right. 58p rings a bell. I don't think they would make the same mistake twice! | pdriccio
14/8/2006 12:24 | if i remember correctly the last time these guys bought shares there was a profits warning soon afterwards | bot53693752467
14/8/2006 12:23 | Certainly looks that way, I had not looked that far down. | andaleg
14/8/2006 12:03 | Andaleg, if you scroll down the rns, is that correct that Eric Hutchinson has bought 118k also? | pdriccio
14/8/2006 11:28 | Spirent Communications PLC said chief executive Anders Gustafsson bought 50,000 shares in the company for 44 pence each. About time too ! Do you think he knows something ? | andaleg
14/8/2006 09:08 | Thanks for that Martest. Long term i am sure you are right. Just bought a few.Leave them now for Hanover to work their magic! You still in ELM? | gswredland
14/8/2006 07:25 | GSW; Positive you havent missed the boatyet.Hanover in c;40/41 they must be looking for 80+ or they wouldnt bother playing around. As yet they have not taken less than 300% on their investments .They will be accumulating another4/5% investment at 44/46p.Still early days for opportunity.Think we have to be patient for 12months till they reach 70/80p unless a bid comes earlier which i dont think is Hanovers scene until they at least double their Gain.SP might fluctuate a little while the MMs looktotempt pps to sell and aquire stock on the cheap.IMHO DYOR. | martest
14/8/2006 06:11 | I think i have missed the boat with these sadly! | gswredland
13/8/2006 10:49 | yes Andaleg, I only edited to include source in response to Baronet1's request. maybe considered unethical to tamper with an original article, even if disputed!! I feel the error has been adequately highlighted however. | lyntwyn
13/8/2006 07:43 | Lyntwyn - It still reads 160p this morning. | andaleg |
