02/8/2006 21:52 | Hi,prev purchased spt at 37p 35p 33.75p and 33.5p. I will add to my holding down to 32p. watching this company for a while, and i now think this is a worth buying around these prices. My short term target is 38p, then possibly 43-45p if the results were better than expected. | davidjojo57
02/8/2006 17:07 | lol!... actually the PNT chart is much worse. SPT used to be a good traders stock but it's a bit leary at the mo, missed the 33p offer...oh well... | omalaha
02/8/2006 13:11 | pbracken - looks worse than the PNT chart! (and thats saying something). Waiting for an entry point: how low can it go? | omalaha
02/8/2006 13:10 | Share buybacks are always of debatable value when the business is loss making. All it does is increase loss per share. They must indicate a return to profitability soon or else the decline could get steeper | jimcar
02/8/2006 12:38 | Cash backing is only £150m; mkt cap is twice that. So, question is, what is the value of the continuing operations? Turnover is around £260m, but it lost £38m last year. | pbracken
02/8/2006 10:41 | be careful, perhaps SPT leads next wave of ex-tech highflyers that trade below cash-backing | bot53693752467
02/8/2006 10:39 | omalaha, Not sure on that.... looks like a sell.... nothing at 33.25 yet. 206K----------33.25 vs 33.75----------121K 388K vs 737K | raybald
02/8/2006 09:13 | still on the downward, sells stacked up on L2. | bot53693752467
02/8/2006 08:19 | Raybald - if your watching, what did you make of that 1.2mill trade? | omalaha
01/8/2006 16:56 | bloody hell where did you lot come from?.........its been like the marie celeste round here for ages | thegrip1
01/8/2006 15:41 | 33.75 has been stacked all day while 34 has been constantly bitten by at least one bot, perhaps 2, as well as the usual broker trades. Great for trading! :o) | raybald
01/8/2006 15:35 | looks like only 2 buyers here, good luck | bot53693752467
01/8/2006 15:34 | JIMCAR - yes, seen them, but is it a planned and programmed buy-back? That was what I was asking.... This from the recent AGM would seem to answer the question..... "That the on-market share repurchase programme through which the Company intends to return up to #50 million to shareholders, having been approved by shareholders, will commence shortly;" They are now on 34mil. SP will not move north until buyback complete - fill yer boots! This is the oposite of dilution..... which is good news as far as I can tell. I am accumulating. DYOR etc etc etc....... | raybald
01/8/2006 15:10 | is FID still selling | bot53693752467
01/8/2006 15:07 | raybald If you look at the news section you will see a large number of "transaction in own shares" items. These are for approx 1m shares purchased each and every day. It is probably what is holding up the price | jimcar
01/8/2006 13:19 | 146K---------33.75 vs 34.00---------59K 441K vs 673K (but 350K of the offer is made up from 2 placings at 38.75 which will probably get pulled when the share price moves, so true ballance is more like 441K vs 323K) | raybald
01/8/2006 13:15 | Not uncommon for a company to buy back shares as trearury shares when the MC is so far below the nett asset value.... apart from making them a quick buck it also helps protect them from aggressive takeover. I think that if it was a buyback program we would know that they were doing it. Perhaps spmeone who has been watching more closely than me can confirm whether one has been discussed....... I am just a trader taking advantage of an obviously undervalued position - not an investor. So if you'll forgive me, I will just make a quick buck myself and then leave it to you lot to worry about the fundimentals later! :o) | raybald
01/8/2006 10:47 | do you think its SPT buyback programm | bot53693752467
01/8/2006 10:18 | Lots of business going on at 34p Sellers are crowding the order book on L2, but a little buy robot seems to be in play knocking the sellers off one by one. | raybald
31/7/2006 16:31 | Looks like SPT are holding the price down themselves to purchase treasury shares. saw the same thing with ARM last year, just before the price shot up 30%. | raybald
31/7/2006 15:25 | L2 is terrifying... 241k v 1500k | hervey
31/7/2006 12:27 | 6p LOL! Bottom about now IMO - not more than a penny or so to give in this - good support at this level. | raybald
30/7/2006 20:42 | could be a massive double bottom at 6p? | bot53693752467 |
