17/8/2006 13:45 | Hanover usually purchase around 15/17% investment, then make an approach for seats on the board, have an internal review.Chop out the deadwood, directors or businesses that are not working a good return for company and shareholders. In their last two forays they have done excellent for themselves and shareholders, increas | martest
17/8/2006 13:25 | Hi, could any of you chart types explain the significance of the share price rising through the 38, 100 and now 200 day moving average? | john.preston6
17/8/2006 13:17 | It was actually 60..not 160 ..that is an error. | gswredland

17/8/2006 11:39 | I bet that Hanover (Sherborne) have been buying again today and yesterday. If they have, and exceeded another 1% of the shares in issue, we will of course see another RNS. If correct, I wonder what target they're aiming for? AIMHO & PDYOR. JB | baronet 1

17/8/2006 08:56 | SAM .reallistically 60p on the cards soon,we will have to be patient for 80p say,6/9 months unless things hot up with the bid suggestion from AEGON(USA).In the maentime be patient and lets not have any ramping here and share price will climb as Institutions want in on the coming action.DYOR. | martest
17/8/2006 08:48 | 80p here we come............. | sam79
16/8/2006 04:59 | The Guardian 16th August 06 Elsewhere, the telecoms equipment group Spirent was 2p better at 46.5p after an upbeat trading statement from its US rival Agilent, tipped as a possible predator for the company. It also benefited from a positive note from Lehman Brothers, which set a 54p target. JB | baronet 1
15/8/2006 18:48 | Thanks Martest. | pdriccio
15/8/2006 17:27 | I would not sell until 75/80p and then would have to consider all options.Time span reaching that price and if present board still running things or Edward Bramson and Hanover.Dont underestimate them, they are in this because they see big shareholder value increase--minimum 100% or they would not keep increasing their investment here.Be patient and we shall see a slow deliberate quiet rise in share price without hype.Accumulate on dips as MMs try to scare pps with tree shakes in order to acquire cheap stock for institutions who want to come on board. | martest
15/8/2006 16:49 | Well things looking extremely good, any shares floating around are duly picked up by sherborne, the share buy back starting up again, brokers upgrades, directors buying etc. My only question would be what price gets me off this bus! I sold out total holding just before christmas at 54.8p and accumulated as the shares fell(Brown trousers at some points on the way)Now looking at a good profit but feel there's more to come. Anyone got any ideas?? TIA | pdriccio

15/8/2006 11:54 | STOCKWATCH Spirent gains after Agilent Q3 beats forecasts, Lehman 'overweight' LONDON (AFX) - Shares in Spirent PLC remained higher in midmorning deals, lifted by positive third quarter results from US peer Agilent Technologies and upbeat comments from Lehman Brothers, dealers said. After the close last night, US network testing group Agilent equipment reported third quarter net income of 227 mln usd, or 0.54 usd per share, compared with 104 mln usd, or 0.20 usd per share, a year ago and well ahead of analysts' expectations. Spirent also received a boost from Lehman Brothers, which repeated its 'overweight' recommendation, although it trimmed its target to 54 from 59 pence on the stock. The US broker told clients that following Spirent's H1 2006 results last week, it is lowering the target price following reductions to revenue and profit forecasts to reflect continued delays in next generation spending. Despite these reductions to estimates, however, the broker views Spirent's strategy as sound given the expected long-term growth of the industry. At 10.24 am, Spirent was up 1 pence at 45-1/2. newsdesk@afxnews.com JB | baronet 1 |
