19/5/2006 10:57 | I got out at 47.75 but will be re-entering. I'm just watching for now until the dust settles. | kingsdock
18/5/2006 15:49 | Best wishes Andaleg. | wireless
18/5/2006 15:18 | Still holding but have to admit I would have sold a portion last week if I had not been on holiday and out of contact with my computer. | andaleg
18/5/2006 13:30 | Come on chaps are you all in hiding waiting for Wall St to open. Question is whose still holding? If you are you've definitely got a lot of bottle unlike me. | wireless
18/5/2006 09:01 | With housebroker Cazenove happy to sell @44p whose confident about the short to medium term future of this share? Spirent looks to be between a rock and a hard place re. its 1 mill buyback programme. If it increases its buyback volume to halt the decline it will induce yet more selling. What say you or have I got it totally wrong? | wireless
17/5/2006 20:37 | And another million bites the dust ! | andaleg
17/5/2006 15:09 | Sorry grip but this share has in fact been my all time big winner making up for losses elsewhere such as that well known dog VOD. I've bought and sold this many times between 11p and 71p. Good luck!! | wireless
17/5/2006 14:09 | It still looks weak to me. Even with Spirent buying 1m a day the share price is at the mercy of the bloody Americans! I'm still waiting to enter - I'd love 42p but not sure I'll get it. I'll sit this week out unless the price becomes just too attractive to miss. | kingsdock
17/5/2006 12:15 | its rising "wireless" ! bet thats really pi$$ing you off,,,,you must have sold at loss at some point ,,,please dont carry on publishing your bitterness on this thread ,,,,,looks like spirent are buying back 1,000,000 a day for 5 months ....i can live with that... | thegrip1
16/5/2006 16:30 | It can't rise up in a straight line , just peaks and troughs chaps, nothing to worry about | hands of stone
16/5/2006 13:53 | The nasdaq will be the determinant i.e. where the americans place their hot money. Perhaps its worth waiting for a triple bottom @41p. Spirent's buyback would then come in handy for a trade back up to 48p before the inevitable retrace! I'm of course assuming Spirent will burn cash big time and do its very best to hold the price at that point otherwise the bears would see it down to 34p! Our american friends would love to see it at that price. | wireless
16/5/2006 12:01 | ooooooo as i speak ! | thegrip1
16/5/2006 11:49 | dont leave it too long kingsdock ,,,you may be kicking yourself come 4.30 ,,,,then again you may not... | thegrip1
16/5/2006 11:24 | I think I'll watch and wait a bit longer. | kingsdock

16/5/2006 11:16 | so they have bought back 1000000 ! only 109,000,000 to go | thegrip1
16/5/2006 11:13 | who ever hears anything about spirent ? im beginning to wonder if this company actually exists,,,,,,,,,,,,,, | thegrip1
16/5/2006 10:46 | Hello, what's going on. I was just thinking of buying back in like I said would if it dropped below 45p but as I am about to hit the button the share price has dropped like a stone. Anyone heard anything? | kingsdock
16/5/2006 10:33 | Well, the theory goes something like this- so there should be a larger slice at some time for us shareholders! "As a general rule, share buybacks are good for shareholders. The laws of supply and demand would suggest that with fewer shares on the market, the share price would tend to rise. Although the company will see a fall in profits because it will no longer receive interest on the cash, this is more than made up for by the reduction in the number of shares. In effect you get more pie, as although the total size of the pie is reduced this is more than offset by the fact that you get a bigger slice." Motley Fool | lyntwyn
16/5/2006 09:36 | Spirent's buyback looks to have got off to a tremendous start. One way to burn cash. What a shame!! | wireless
16/5/2006 07:57 | Spirent, the rumoured bid target of an American rival, lost ¾p at 45¾p as the start of its £50 million share buyback programme appeared to put paid to hopes of predatory interest. | lyntwyn
