From the Times ...
Revenue and profits fell sharply at Spire Healthcare in the first half of the year as the pandemic suspended most private elective procedures.

Sorry but buywell does not agree

boris & Co Ltd are totally clueless at where the latest Covid-19 mutation currently ravaging Spain and France is going to take the UK in the next few months or the following 4 years.

Since evidence emerged last week that you can catch Covid-19 twice ALL bets are off for getting rid of SARS-CoV-2 IMO

Another surge in the UK looks to have started with daily case numbers now double what they were on July 30th

Many Hospitals are only running now at 60% normal due to Covid-19 cases --- which IMO is about as good as it gets

Now with this new recent mutation D614G extra 10 X transmissability of the original has been claimed by scientists

A bigger surge in case numbers is going to clog the system once again as it will in Spain and soon will in France and the USA

Getting there... Slowly!Hard place and rock swings to mind I'm the situation Spire is in now. Govt probably not going to renew renting Spire Hospital beds. But will elective patients make a return to their medical procedures while there's still 500+ positive COVID cases a day?

Purchased a load today - with the director buying a big amount and still the share price at a low level- these seem cheap at this level.

They have let private patients down badly, selling out for 12 weeks to NHS.

All NHS Hospital staff should be tested now OUTSIDE the Hospital in a newly created pressure positive test cabins BEFORE going to work ie starting their shift ,especially ICU staff

Using this swab test < there are others , a result can be obtained in 15 mins

Same applies to Spire staff as part of the deal

-------- NHS ICU Hospital front line staff fighting Covid-19 ------------

As can be seen from Italy , Spain and New York

The health of nurses and doctors on the front line in Intensive Care Units (ICU's) is paramount above all else.

If these brave health care staff get sick , then the whole system can fall into disarray , leading to much higher death rates as covid infection spreads out of control .

Testing of our hospital staff should be done on a per shift basis before they start work

There are tests that give results in 1Hr some in 2 Hrs

We need to look after this valuable resource as without them we stare into the abyss

I think everyone is understanding that in the current crisis , elective treatment has to be suspended, for the health of both hospital staff and the patients.

Looks to me like Spire gone for the short term cash from NHS and stuffed the private patients, who seem to be waiting has long has if NHS themselves for procedures. I may be wrong that's what it seems like to me.Long run that's not a good strategy.
