27/8/2021 10:10 | Really liking the fact that Tosca have added another 1.5%. Now at 16.9%. They voted down the takeover stating the price was too low. | mongrels3
03/8/2021 22:50 | Close to initial bid of 240 now. Hold on and we will see 3 during 2022 | fozzyb

02/8/2021 14:14 | Interesting article ... Who is to Blame When Private Surgery Goes Wrong? | peterbill
02/8/2021 11:04 | Likely they were already seeing the NHS waiting list issues on the horizon that we're now hearing about in the main stream media, which is hardly a surprise of course and means there will be an increase in people who paying for or who will need to pay to have things done privately if they want them done any time soon. Probably what Ramsey thought they could get ahead of and benefit from with their attempted cut price deal to buy Spire. Tough situation for those affected but you know that won't stop thee finance people looking to profit! | kron76
27/7/2021 10:56 | Interesting that ToscaFund (who rejected the bid) is up to 14% of Spire now. At the start of the bid process back in May, they held 5.4% I believe | mongrels3
21/7/2021 12:24 | Price now suggests market has woken up to potential of company/ bidder may still yet re-emerge to take out. I'm no chartist but the uptrend line ignoring the bid looks healthy. Sit back and wait for £3+ in 2022 | fozzyb
21/7/2021 07:58 | From yesterday: PEEL HUNT RAISES SPIRE HEALTHCARE TO 'ADD' ('HOLD') - TARGET 233 (240) PENCE | mongrels3
19/7/2021 23:29 | Agreed, sit back and see this over £3 during 2022 | fozzyb
19/7/2021 18:26 | No tears, let's wait at least for £3 | dekle
19/7/2021 18:04 | Not just a rumour now - it's been voted down. | dendria
19/7/2021 09:19 | Looks like the rumour might be the offer has been voted down | dekle
12/7/2021 13:45 | Tosca fund look to have pretty much doubled their holding. Presumably means that the deal has no chance of going through. That's circa 25% between Fidelity and Tosca, both declared to be in opposition. | mongrels3
08/7/2021 00:39 | Happy to short term pull back even sub £2 if the takeover collapses as shares fair value is surely £3+ IMV | fozzyb
07/7/2021 16:34 | I guess everyone who thought the price was too cheap and wouldn't sell out have got their wish. The price movement this week implies it won't be going through. Good luck everyone, Sid. | eaaxs06
05/7/2021 16:41 | Thanks Tomps2 ... interesting video, had a look at their investment trust - OIT (Odyssean Investment Trust) Annual management charge: 1% of Market CapPerformance fee: YesOngoing charge: 3.26% a bit steep, no dividend either ... | peterbill
05/7/2021 15:11 | Increased final offer of 250p. Still too cheap. | dendria
02/7/2021 13:03 | Stuart Widdowson mentions SPI at 38:30 in the latest PIWORLD interview Watch the video here: Or listen to the podcast here: | tomps2
30/6/2021 18:59 | The timetable for the scheme has been amended. The court hearing will be held on 21 July 2021, and the effective date of the scheme is expected to be 22 July 2021. | peterbill
23/6/2021 00:08 | I think we all small share holder should vote against this. Valuation is too low. it should be minimum 3.10. since 2017 they also added new hospitals so why the board agreeing lower price instead of 3.50. My questions is offer on the table is 2.40! is anybody can help me to understand the reason for market price is 2.50! I got some decent amount of shares just want to know from any guru what to do! sell it now for 2.50 or wait another month to get 2.40! Thanks in advance to the gurus if you can advice. | khan2952
19/6/2021 06:38 | FWIW ... I too, voted against ... Both the Court Meeting and the General Meeting are to be held on 12 July 2021. The Court Hearing will be held on 16 July 2021. If all of the necessary approvals are attained, then the Scheme is expected to become effective on 19 July 2021 and the cancellation of Spire shares from trading on 20 July 2021. Page 69 and Page 73 | peterbill
17/6/2021 22:19 | I for one as a small share holder will be voting against the proposal as well...I feel that 300p is an attainable share price... | sovsov1357
17/6/2021 06:46 | In the Times ... Toscafund Asset Management, a second large shareholder in Spire Healthcare, has come out against the £1bn takeover of the listed private hospitals chain by an Australian rival. | peterbill
12/6/2021 07:49 | Fidelity rejecting the takeover saying its worth 400. They have 9% ish. At 250 offered the market is giving a 20% probability of a 300 bid. Or a 10% prob of a 350 or a 6.7% prob of a 400. Any views out there? Is there a chance with the directors and major shareholder (latter = 30% I believe) saying “yes” that this bid could be rejected? I see the acceptance of this offer as rather unambitious if not craven. If this does get rejected heads will need to roll. | joedjoed |
