06/1/2021 12:58 | o/t I bought ARB at 7.4 and 8.2 in preference to the actual bitcoin. So far so good, running profits and will likely put some of the proceeds in here. | fozzie
06/1/2021 12:54 | Was able to top up 5k at 182 even though spread showed as 180 - 190 | smicker

06/1/2021 12:25 | That's not what I was expecting. A 2.26m print from last night (2 of them, but maybe duplicate). That's 4%. Should be an rns. But... Who is it ? | fft
06/1/2021 07:02 | I've been adding up the numbers and he's either fully out or has less than 500k shares so he's now not a factor There is another seller but he seems more canny (I've not been offered decent size since buyback announced )So I think we have seen the worse of the price falls and this for me becomes a buy in the 70s on any drift in price Off to watch btc as I'm uber bullish still there | nico115
05/1/2021 22:42 | Do you think Mr Ousamma is out now Nic? | fozzie
05/1/2021 22:25 | Anyone got a view on the potential sale of the Aeris unit that they mentioned in September? Maybe there will be a year end trading update in the next couple of weeks? | chillpill
05/1/2021 21:31 | Been following for a while and joined Club Spectra this week. Seems a good value AIM stock taking a medium term view. Be good if they can get some decent research in the market. | chillpill
05/1/2021 20:44 | One seller is cleared Another seller but he's not aggressive and not sure he's that big either 170-190 range for a while ?But near 170 sell near 190? | nico115
05/1/2021 19:57 | I'm not convinced we have cleared the seller(s) yet | pj 1
05/1/2021 16:28 | Sad news from SPSY re Martin Jaskel, a NED, passing away. I don't know if he was based in the UK but its interesting to see that "A new independent non-executive director based in the UK will be appointed to the Spectra Board in due course." Hopefully whoever that is can help facilitate better communication with UK private investors. | shanklin
05/1/2021 11:37 | And with the dollar getting devalued by the day much better to deploy that cash into Spsy or an appreciating asset like Bitcoin | nico115
05/1/2021 11:04 | As I suggested last week, buying back the known overhang by SPSY is a no brainer as everyone is winner- -the big seller can complete his disposal, maybe at a better price -the overhang has been eliminated allowing the sP to reach fair value -SPSY have less surplus cash ,earning no return, & reduced issued shares increases EPS & reduces PE ratio -a maintained ( let alone increased) dividend results in an increased yireld, benefiting all shareholders | base7
05/1/2021 11:00 | It seems to be having the desired effect in any event. I would far rather the house broker actually did something and introduced seller to buyer but obvs that is just too much for them poor lambs. As long as the seller(s) are out this should rise back fairly quickly. | fozzie
05/1/2021 10:11 | Most companies over the years have borrowed money to finance share buy backs ..... this is totally different and to be fair it has helped Spectra as Nico has already stated last buy back was at 1.30. | sonofbanjosinger
05/1/2021 10:07 | It's a different scenario here as there's no debt, personally, I can see the benefit. | dcarn
05/1/2021 10:05 | Ashtead. Started buybacks 2017 (from memory), stopped in March 2020. Of course, the rise in share price is in no way solely down to buybacks, and to be honest, in AHT's case I'd have preferred the cash to be used to pay down debt, but the share price just keeps rising. | dcarn
05/1/2021 09:54 | Tell me a share which has benefitted? | johnrxx99
05/1/2021 09:45 | Absolutely agree with Nico and Fozzie; the buyback gives us all a bigger slice of the company without us having to spend any money to buy shares or (worst of all) waste it on tax. | vprt
05/1/2021 09:42 | Maybe they've finally cleared the overhang? We'll soon see... | argylerich
05/1/2021 09:41 | Agree, buy the shares back from the sellers and cancel, double whammy. | fozzie
05/1/2021 09:37 | Really ?Even with the overhangs ?Surely more tax efficient to buy back than increase divi ? | nico115
05/1/2021 09:33 | If he wants to bring value, up the divi and stop the buy back. I mean that most sincerely ;-) | johnrxx99
05/1/2021 08:12 | Thank you Andrew/Sonofbanjosin As I think has been suggested, perhaps he could do a presentation on InvestorMeetsCompany after the next results announcement or trading update | shanklin
05/1/2021 08:02 | Martin nothing really l just took Nico's advice and thanked him and the team for a successful year ... l am sure he would not worry about me sharing the content as l am sure he values all shareholders the same .....Dear Andrew,Firstly, I wish you and yours a healthy, happy, peaceful, productive, and prosperous 2021.I am very pleased to have you as a shareholder and I can assure you that we will work very hard to bring value to your investment in Spectra.
