14/8/2019 19:19 | Letter in the post tonight from IWEB. They have upheld my complaint and are going to apply it to all accounts under their control where customers have paid 30% withholding tax. I wait to see if they will backdate this award to the first divi here which they also took 30% on. I understand that people sell for a myriad of reasons but am always surprised that people seem to sell their winners, and winners with great potential ala SPSY. I can't believe that your average pi is astute enough to jump in and out of shares catching the top and bottom each time, therefore doing nothing and sitting on my hands is invariably what i end up doing on down days in the market. | fozzie
14/8/2019 18:32 | High volume at EOD - that counts | davr0s
14/8/2019 16:24 | I'm afraid it's the norm now, everyone's a trader! | fozzie
13/8/2019 21:39 | It seems quite slow, long term hold is it? | phillkay
11/8/2019 22:51 | They wrote to me on Friday, apologised for the delayed response and promised to give me a definite decision by next Friday August 16th. Farcical. | fozzie
11/8/2019 21:32 | I had the same issues with iDealing two years ago. Closed the accounts and also moved to HL. | dcarn
11/8/2019 20:04 | I didn't get back my 15% or 30% on my Sipp for two years with Halifax went through the full complaint procedures and didn't care one jot when l changed all my business to HL. | sonofbanjosinger
11/8/2019 08:29 | Fozzie If you signed a W8ben you will get 15pct tax back Of that I have no doubt !! | nico115
09/8/2019 12:58 | If you follow the complaints through they can often pay out a compensation too. I've received these kind of bonuses from IG and Barclays before. | argylerich
09/8/2019 11:42 | Still haven't got my 15% back from IWEB despite making an official complaint over a month ago, quite ridiculous. I have asked them to look at the divi's in 2017 and 18 as well as i believe they witheld the full 30% then as well despite a W8BEN being in place. They are a cheap as chips broker at £5 a trade and they have always been very good to deal with but this is terrible customer service. I have threatened to transfer all my holdings to another company but it doesn't seem to have spurred them into action. Very disappointing. | fozzie
02/8/2019 15:28 | Good luck Ydays RNS was v good Opens up a totally new market | nico115

02/8/2019 14:09 | Thanks for that piece from WHI someuwin, very positive. | paleje
02/8/2019 13:53 | New holding for you ? Or adding ? | nico115
02/8/2019 12:21 | The only 25k published so far today is what surely must be a sell at 127.25p at 09:37? Two 4k buys for me - yesterday and today - on basis of yesterday's RNS and today's WH Ireland report | metis20
02/8/2019 10:30 | Bought 25k today on back of ydays RNS | nico115
02/8/2019 09:02 | Excellent analysis of yesterday's news from WH Ireland...Spectra is a global leader in machine-readable high-speed banknote authentication, brand protection technologies, and gaming security software. This morning's news of a Polymer Banknote Substrate Supply Agreement is significant in that it unlocks the potential for Spectra to move up the banknote production supply chain, through the supply (but not manufacture) of polymer banknotes with Spectra's trade secret protected materials and patent pending sensors covert technologies embedded. This product will be the first and only such substrate, opening a new and exclusive market for polymer notes. Although our current estimates are unchanged this morning, we see significant additional value creation beyond FY 2020E as a result of this announcement. The shares trade on FY2019E EV/EBITDA multiple of 12.1x, undemanding when set against other IP-led businesses. Given the continued quality of earnings, we see near-term fair value at 150p.Spectra has executed a 10+ year supply agreement with a large, technologically driven, global supplier of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene ("BOPP") for use as a highly covert polymer banknote substrate which is UV dull and maintains the extremely low haze levels required for the signature window security of polymer banknotes. Polymer substrates offer increased wear resistance, but traditionally have been viewed as less secure for higher value denominations as opposed to paper, which can have covert security features within the banknote substrate. Spectra has developed and produced a highly secure polymer substrate through cooperation with the supplier of BOPP. The partnership and the supply agreement gives Spectra the ability to supply more than 2bn notes per year (to contextualise this, the Bank of England prints around 1bn notes per annum across all denominations). The level III covert polymer technology has been fully production qualified and sensors have been developed which operate at speeds of 15m/second, 50% faster than the fastest transports currently available. We believe this announcement is significant on two fronts. Firstly, the global banknote polymer supply chain is currently dominated by Canadian company CCL Secure (www.cclsecure.com), part of global packaging conglomerate CCL Industries (TSX: CCL.B:CA). CCL supplies its Guardian polymer notes to over twenty countries in what is a growing market opportunity. In essence, Spectra has a real opportunity to extend its revenue generation potential (a circa 10x revenue uplift versus current covert material supply agreements) by combining its core competence in covert security with higher priced polymer substrates and in effect, expanding the polymer market on an exclusive basis to higher denomination banknotes which currently use paper substrates. We believe Spectra offers significant quality of earnings, with good forward visibility of revenue and profit, plus some material pipeline opportunities that could yield further step changes in profitability. | someuwin
01/8/2019 11:23 | the cash balance and future cash generation must be very alluring. | pj 1
01/8/2019 11:21 | I'm beginning to wonder if this delayed share buy back is an insurance policy if anyone comes sniffing (at too low a price as deemed by the BoD.)Conflicted, as it never has looked cheap to me on fundamentals p/e etc | pj 1
01/8/2019 11:08 | I wasn't thinking numbers like in a 'Next' guidance, probably shouldn't have used the word, just some idea of the potential market size. Anyway all good. Still like to know what's happening with the buybacks though. | paleje
01/8/2019 11:02 | No stock is completely 'sleep easy' in these turbulent times but this comes mighty close. Very happy to let Nabil and team keep doing their thing here. | fozzie
01/8/2019 10:54 | LOL Harrogate I completely agree. We are the holder of a solid stock based on contracted revenue and profits with a whole host of options attached, many of which could enable SPSY to be a much more profitable company. | shanklin
01/8/2019 10:50 | Of course we do and I have no problem with us trying to do that but to expect numbers with this announcement is not realistic in my view that is all I am saying | harrogate
01/8/2019 10:39 | Harrogate As investors we need to extrapolate into the future. The share price does not seem to reflect any of the many potential opportunities SPSY have been opening up. | shanklin |
