08/4/2005 16:42 | Does anyone have any idea of what type of venture GIN are planning to "invest" in | johnives
08/4/2005 16:40 | Dear All Unfortunately I did buy at 27p and am about £40k down. The previous regime seemed to go belly up because the software was not up to the job and got overtaken by its rivals. There were all sorts of rumours that the contract for development was given to a relative of the then CEO. Then all of a sudden 15 months ago they were suspended and the good bits (casino business) were sold off to pay the debts. The only saving grace as far as I am concerned is that as you say Kannabar and Robertson do have a good reputation on reverse takeovers and I only hope that will get me out of jail. The Chandler angle was all to do with on line betting but he 's now gone. regards John Ives | johnives
08/4/2005 16:11 | Pomp Circumstance Thanks for your reply. Meanwhile I've had a chance to trawl back this bb. What a brilliant idea with which GIN started i.e. mobile and tV betting, dog racing etc. What happened to these projects? Pomp, I am impressed with the board though. Nigel Robertson (Great grandson of Reed founder, NR heads BLU, Black Raven, Indian Outsource IOS.) Haresh Kanabar, accountant with rising stars over him, heads BLU, SLP (Silentpoint), GFC Greenfield Construction, ex-Silvermine--now RTO into COIL, INDY India Star Oil and GAS. So your Indias and Chinas guestimates are not far out! Ha hahahaha! When I posted last, I almost bought some at 27p but decided to wait at least to check its website first. Been burnt too many times by impatience and the lure of "gambling". It was good for you to have picked up some yesterday and re-fuel your coffers and make up some losses if you had indeed been an earlier buyer. Good luck matey! Have seen you on several threads as well. Cheers to all holders! I rate highly on this pair of characters on the board. Don't know about the Chandler story! | ppowerscourt

08/4/2005 14:07 | Reverse Take-Over Definition 1 RTO. When a company buys out a larger company, but could also occasionally refer to a private company taking over a publicly listed company. Typically, a public company that is taken over by a private company will remain listed, and the private company will use the acquisition as means of gaining a listing. A reverse take-over is a relatively rare event. Definition 2 One way for a company to become publicly traded, by acquiring a public company and then installing its own management team and renaming the acquired company. also called reverse acquisition. | pomp circumstance
