27/3/2009 12:59 | I still think the temptation, as this price falls, to do a Sheffield United and simply state that the company can no longer afford or justify a listing, and to delist with a view to reselling the silver over time is equally great whether they stay up or go down. Sheffield met with fierce resistence and the club had to buy a lot of the shares back but Soton could not be expected to bother itself with the losses of SOO holders Even if they stay up (which may depend on getting just one win and the rest draws) it will be a hoodini like last year and won't lift the stock The club have a good young squad for L1 and are more likely to qualify to be in the Championship for the 10/11 season by getting promotion from L1 that by a third attempt at staying up, indeed next season may see them cut adrift by an embarrasing margin, the Championship and L1 have the biggest gap in standards of all leagues L1 would lift the gate as they would be winning and more away fans would come probably more season tickets would be sold, but unfortunately an inevitable part of the strategy would be to delist and then seek funds and wind down SOO's holding and gently forget it exists. | mryesyes
13/3/2009 07:53 | Soo in the Poo, I'm afraid. Still, the prospect of Pompey coming down may lift their spirit for one final push. Else its join up with Leeds! | hubs
17/2/2009 01:20 | I think its make your mind up time....go into administration NOW and lose the points this season, when you are 75%-90% likely to go down; or leave it till later and have the FA deduct them from the L1 campaign It is a shame the club was not relegated, as it should have been, last season Leicester had 0 goal difference and were no way deserving of relegation, just too many draws and narrow defeats Sadly the club is looking like facing next season with SOO the plc gone, new owners, in L1 and with a 10-30 point deduction | mryesyes
