On paper skyline I would say you are right but as these league shows week in and week out the top sides get beaten by the bottom ones.

Do you live down here too?

Excellent result and looking at the fixture list ,we have 4 to 5 easier games, with the exception of Palace .

Well again they made hard work of it but a 2-4 win is a good result whatever league you play in.

Top 5 and only 4 points off the lead is much better than a few weeks ago.

Well they made hard work of it in the end but I guess a win is a win.

Still only 7th but it is a bit tighter at the top now.

To be honest I would not like to say.

Could end up with a nice easy win or take a right good kicking.
After the results last night it would be great to win and take a top 6 spot.

Well with two wins on the spin could we be looking at a big push for a top 2 spot??

Wins breed confidence so lets hope so.

Lucky barstewards....that seems to the lads (Sunderland) style
of play thesedays, last minute goals in so many of their matches.

Fa Cup was a right moneyspinner for goals...Ig will be cleaned out on
that one...about time i got some money back :-)) !

One step forward then two steps backwards just about sums this club up now.

I drive past the ground most days and used to love looking at it and thinking about the big name teams and players that I have watched.

Now its not even worth a quick sideways glance.

Now getting really worried that we will run out of cash, even if Walcott earns the full £7m for us. It's all down now to getting promoted otherwise the parachute closes and we die a short death - if ever there was a time to rally the team its now. Football may hold up but the company may not.
The final results mention the need to refinance. Even getting a total interest holiday from the bank will only save £2m a year so its down to new risk money. Can't see anyone putting in new money whilst its listed, so my bet is on a take private. Even then it will be a real bet on promotion so the money will have to come from generous benefactors. I would expect that the bank that holds all the assets as security will have a large break fee for a take private leaving more money to find.
I see the odds on promotion are 15 to 1. If I had the money to invest in the club then i'd probably take the 15 to 1 as a safer bet than buying shares on a take private. If the bet pays off then I could buy a large chunk of the club. if the bet fails then the club will have failed anyway.
