We can argue about the fundamentals- but we actually agree- on fundamentals it is cheap. My point is that without buying interest it will stay cheap. I think Waha want out entirely- look at their website and see how they are changing direction- a micro cap like SDX is not relevant to them- Waha have new management and are keen to change. If I am right there is a chunky overhang, and while that is around the price isn't going anywhere, and in the meantime the assets are being depleted.
I think a fundamental change is needed. A number have moaned about the Board, and reading up on the Board I cannot see any of them bring any value- been there too long (the NEDS), too old (the NEDS), get paid too much (all of them), are too inexperienced (the CFO and CEO).I will bet a £1 to £100 that Waha do not bring about a Board change- that will only happen if other investors put pressure on.
I do think the Chairman should get off his Ivory tower and communicate with us poor bloody investors,

Even with the management it has SDX is too poorly valued at a time when Gas is going through the roof and prices in Morocco must all be heading northwards!!

i agree with the guvnor otherwise this widow maker will continue to destroy shareholder wealth..

cut their wages in proportion to the destruction in shareholder wealth.. they feel no consequences to their abysmal managing/governance of this company...

It may be cheap on fundamentals but:
1. Production is going to start falling given the age of the asserts, and the lack of drilling success. Ditto proven reserves
2. They have a board which is too large, too well paid, and ineffective. Where is the strategic thought? They seem much more interested in parading their ESG credentials than they do in creating shareholder value
3. Waha are a seller, looks like other institutions are selling too- it is a mini-micro-irrelevant cap company- no institution will be bothered to buy this

There is some things they could do

1. Change the Board. Get rid of at least two of the NEDS (most look well beyond their sell-by date, and bring no value)
2. Start a search for a new CEO- and in the meantime slash Director salaries to 50% levels (and maybe promise to reinstate when the share price doubles, but not before that)
3. Get the Chairman to address shareholders on a call- Box and Reid are not trusted- we need to hear from the Chairman as to how he is going to drive a restoration of value- and if he cannot do that he should get off the Board now.
4. Market hard to private client brokers- i don't see institutions buying this.

SDX my be cheap on fundamentals- but it is still a dog

Crazy market cap this share should be at least 3 times higher it can only go up from here just on fundamentals

I already own quite a bit - but am inclined to top up and average down at a 65% discount to my Dec 2019 purchase.
