I have no better insight than you mk. In my view, they're simply answering questions about the deal already published. I don't expect any price sensitive information in the near future.

As per my earlier posts, TSX is to thinly traded and without a proper market to give you any indication on the London price. You might see some price action if news is released after London closes but it will likely be public news anyway because no insider is going to trade on TSX where they will stick out like a sore thumb.

Good post rp. We could tussle over what the takeover price might be but the sentiment is spot on. The key is getting someone to submit that first bid. There are a huge number of prospects where people expected takeovers to come but they never did, regardless of logic.

Blanca was the prospect that NM cited as potentially being bigger than Alpala...

I'm coming round to the view that, despite his protestations to the contrary, NM will sell out if the bid is high enough...

He's had a basinful of aggro over the last year...he's trying to create 'the next BHP' in the middle of the worst pandemic in history...

There's an election next February, with all its possible implications (there's bound to be a backlash after the horrific effect of CVD on Ecuador)...

He's got a tough 12 months ahead, having to finish the Feasibility Studies and get the long term funding in place and by the time production starts he will be approaching 70...he'll need a constant supply of energy pills...

He's about to have DGR Global fully financed for the rest of his career, first through the placing and then through the sale of their SOLG shares...(if he accepts a bid - £163 million at 80p)...

What better than to accept a seat on the BHP Board and retire to OZ to his family and his pet project DGR...?

Please note: this is not a prediction; just a rationalisation...and who on here wouldn't bite the hand off at 80p...?

You might even become a BHP shareholder by default...

Welcome Bob - good to see you here and with your 2nd post you offer something factually based rather than opinion.

Lots of virtual conferences going on and one through mines and money 5@5 earlier was very interesting focused on royalties, streaming & alternative financing models in mining from Australia.

Sean Russo, Principal and Managing Director, Noah’s Rule (advidor on risk management and financing strategies for over 50 mining global clients) said the deal was attractive for SolGold's shareholders. "Royalties are a great way to take a long-term view as an inflation hedge,".

Lefrene i think you are right , NM always said he would drill blanca to help pay for the funding of Alpala .

Didn't they build drill pads a while back so that they could start asap once they had permits? I presume the covid thing has thrown a spanner in the works for now.

Thanks Bob

Now all we need to know is does the permit cover all 3 or just blanca . I would think all 3 as it was probably issued before they split it .

Agreed Bob, I believe anything SOLG now call Blanca has no cornerstone interest.

Cornerstone aren't going to fold anytime soon. They have a freeride all the way to BFS and will then own 15% of Alpala value so long as they can find their share of costs. There is no advantage to them in selling now.

That's NOT strictly true Mknight, This shows the parts that were added to the Cascabel concession, bits were added from

Blanca
Nieves 2
Rio Mira 2

If they drill Blanca its next door so results could be pretty quick imho .

Its possible they dont want to say much as cornerstone has 15%

Maybe a deal with Cornerstone then they will drill .

Welcome Bob. I think we'll find out soon enough. If we have the money, drilling will almost certainly be focused on Blanca first. I believe you usually get initial reports within 3 months if they find anything. Allow a couple of months extra to setup the drilling operation, so September or October this year.

I believe in the value and have done my research which makes me confident in the company.

But when you ramp without knowing the details, then u deramp the very next day, it’s different.

Long time lurker, thanks for all the post about SOLG, especially to pob as he seems to know everything about the company, is he Nick Mather :)

mknight is correct Blanca was described as complicated, but no explanation of what is complicated about it, as it was already being illegally mined for gold

complicated could = high grade gold reserves at near surface, but we don't want to tell the market yet

Quite strange reading the presentation because it covers La Hueca and Porvenir with details but not Blanca. Presumably because Blanca has been well covered in the past.Rio Amarillo is the only other site I would want to get drilling now. I think given our limited finances for these projects, only being able to do these 3 is actually something of a blessing.

Blanca they said is complicated and the other 2 are down south ..

Not being negative as the 3 permits they have are priority sites .
