13/5/2020 13:58 | Lefrene, I suspect it's more to do with tribal unrest and the government not wanting to upset them. That's been the subject of the court cases and the near revolution last year. A lot of the locals take exception to the central government granting rights over their land and it can become very messy. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/5/2020 13:52 | mknight, it does seem odd that drill permits are withheld when the government claims it's keen to encourage mining. I can't help but speculate that it might be the age old problem of palms waiting to be greased? | ![]() lefrene
13/5/2020 13:52 | Mk, I know you emailed asking the question. Perhaps send a follow up on this specific question? | ![]() lowtrawler
13/5/2020 13:48 | Lefrene my guess is Río is not one of them . We dont know if any of the 13 prority sites have a permit to drill . Thats why NM was pushing for them he knows that if the government changes there is a possibility that they wont get the drilling permits . Its very poor on the part of the Ecuadorain government they either want mining or they dont . Its also poor that Solgold have not named the 3 that have permits . The permit issue has been going on for well over a year and still nothing has happened .. cant see how they can drill the 13 priority sites without permits . If we knew which sites had permits we could make an investment decisión. | ![]() mknight
13/5/2020 13:47 | Thanks Lefrene, I assume 1 is Cascabel. I hope the other 2 are Blanca and Rio Amarillo. I was just hoping somebody could confirm? | ![]() lowtrawler
13/5/2020 13:33 | I presumed the permits related to pages 30,31, and 32, as these are the first three sites mentioned out of the 13 sites of interest. But it's just a guess. | ![]() lefrene
13/5/2020 13:28 | Fine Pob69 but which ones . If they are in the south they wont be drilling them because of the CV . We should know if RIO Amarillo is one of them as its close to Alpala and they could get the rigs going quickly . | ![]() mknight
13/5/2020 13:23 | To be clear, the April presentation also stated "3 drill permits" approved. | ![]() pob69
13/5/2020 13:23 | Lowtrawler Agreed it just says they have 3 permits Pick any 3 from 75 .. | ![]() mknight
13/5/2020 13:20 | Anyone think 14th Seminar moved to 19th because: 1) Pending news on $1.7bn funding? 2) Pending takeover offer? 3) Pending permit news? 4) None. | phattrader1
13/5/2020 13:18 | I've been through the document. It doesn't mention what the permits relate to. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/5/2020 13:10 | I suggest you go through the document Lowtrawler. It's highly informative. | ![]() lefrene
13/5/2020 13:10 | By emphasising FNV's share performance Solg is (inadvertently) shooting itself in the foot ! FNV's outperformance re conventional miners reflects the eye-watering profits its streaming (and other offtake deals) makes from them ! (ie takes away a large part of their NPV's) Colonel Drake's idea (over there) of a $1bn deal upscaling the $100m one, would result in halving Alpala's NPV (which at current copper prices) is already half the 2019m PEA !) These are the realities overlooked by all the hype. (They won't be overlooked by professional investors or by BHP, NEW, RIO and Uncle Tom Cobley an' all) | ![]() dozyduck
13/5/2020 13:00 | Lefrene, any idea what the 3 drill permits relate to? It would be nice if they were assigned to each subsidiary for drilling any of their associated sites, that would leave only 1 subsidiary lacking. However, I doubt it's that easy. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/5/2020 12:39 | Thank you pob69, the best document they have produced so far. It helps illustrate just how cheap the company is. Good to read that they have 3 drill permits. | ![]() lefrene
13/5/2020 12:03 | 400 listeners to last night's webinar. You would have thought with all (and I include those who copy and paste my research onto other boards) your valuable money in Solgold, long or short, at least 1 of you will have listened and yet so much chatter (yachts and Guinness scandal LOL!).... Here's the presentation Jason skipped through with some new and interesting slides... | ![]() pob69
13/5/2020 10:49 | rougepierre, With that amount of dosh, no need for NM to wait - he'll buy his own super yacht from someone who has gone bust in the market crash. | pecker1
13/5/2020 10:44 | Going to be too late for me too , being over 70. Sadly,in current climate , my cruising days are over. | ![]() mam fach
13/5/2020 10:17 | There's a couple of elderly gentlemen who must be in or heading to their 90's who attend mining presentations in London. When it comes to exploration companies, I admire their optimism! | goodgrief
13/5/2020 09:59 | I certainly do! Sell half at 40p...sell the rest at 80p...happy days and then wait for the cruise lines to be safe again... | ![]() rougepierre
13/5/2020 09:47 | I`m sure that the old amongst us will understand that. | ![]() arcadian
13/5/2020 09:32 | He’s 61 years old. I’m sure by 2024 he will retire on his SOLG payout of £90m-135m. He wants finance, permits and PFS and takeover done in 2020. He doesn’t want a dividend for 25 years ... | phattrader1
13/5/2020 09:27 | Are you saying that NM has been fibbing about wanting to go all the way into production and for SOLG to become the next BHP? I'm shocked. | ![]() lowtrawler
13/5/2020 09:12 | Course he wants a takeover. Once he has the other $1.7bn agreed for mine construction they will come out crying even more and be forced to bid “for a non-tier 1 asset” ROFL | phattrader1 |
