Don't think that NM will get better than a volume weighted average of the share price over say the last week or so for a placing, especially in the current environment

That is all fine and well, but they should release an interim holding rns saying, be patient, we are still busy with it. Simple courtesy and stops accusations of market manipulation. I am quite old school on this.Or do not give unrealistic deadlines, period.

Building on yesterday's webinar with the Minister, it is the Vice Ministers turn today. They have Newcrest's Ecuador Manager presenting this time but there could be useful intelligence for Solgold $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador I won't be providing an update though it will suit someone in a better time zone!

Upskilling opportunities: mining and Ecuador - where to from here?

I wouldn't nail myself down to a fixed timetable when negotiating with multiple others. New aspects will arise that require new consideration, thus unless you want to hobble yourself the timetable has to be elastic. A winning side in a war imposing terms on the losers, would likely impose a fixed time scale, but this is far from that scenario.

There are multiple interested parties, it will simply take as long as it takes for NM to arrive at the best deal for shareholders.

Well, the share price hasn't collapsed as it might have done. Seems most people are willing to give them leeway. How much leeway will they be given?

No, the 2 weeks expired yesterday. They are late and can't spin it otherwise.

Lowtrawler .

Agree with you although its true what rougepierre says that the 2 weeks actually finish tomorrow . They have a long weekend to tie everything up so we shall see if Monday we have some confirmation that they are still working on it or actual news .

One day either way does not upset me enough to sell my shares evenmore when the news comes i dont believe i could recover the shares without paying alot more .

I am not worried about the current situation. But giving false deadlines is a cardinal sin in my book too. Looks bad.

I have never missed a deadline in my life and I have fired people for doing so. It is a cardinal sin. The deadline was self-imposed by the Director's only 2 weeks ago! I should have known better. They have a track record of missing commitments and making child like excuses (we need to find a translator for the Cornerstone document).

Time to reassess. We have no mine, we need financing to build a mine. Obtaining that financing depends on the Directors having the credibility to attract funders. Today, their credibility is in shreds.

If it were a short delay, they could and should have put out a statement that negotiations are going well but need more time to agree details.

You can put a positive spin on the silence with speculation (e.g. they have a TO offer on the table which they don't want to announce yet). Let's cross our fingers and hope this is the case. Anything else is bad news.

Even if they announce the 150m funding next week, it's too late for the damage to their credibility and so the future of SOLG is permanently damaged. If you can't trust director's to do what they say they will, would you trust them with 3bn of your money?

For the time being, I'm staying invested purely out of morbid curiosity (and the maybe, just maybe, there is a TO on the table). Told you I was angry and shouldn't be posting today......

That may or may not be true.Solg may or may not be a a beneficiary if it is a success. But everyone posts on here as if it is a done deal and the share price will be many multiples of todays price and that plainly is an unsubstantiated ramp. 90 percent of the posters on here said news this week some are even quoting it is now done but they haven't announced it. Besides being illegal to withhold price sensitive news, not that the rampers care about facts, it hasn't been done and I suspect NM is struggling big time to secure the 150, as for the 2.7bn in this environment it is farcical to think he has any chance.BHP know this, NM know this his silly off take rns and pr webinars have managed to pump the price to a reasonable level but institutions don't seem to be keen to put their money where the rampers have already bought......wonder why.....

Wrong Board easwara...

So Nasdaq...you've failed to answer my two fundamental questions:

Have you listened to the webinar?

What is your investment strategy (more sophisticated than "I invest in funds"...)?

Add to that...why are you here (other than to be a nuisance...)?

So...as you have stated you are not invested, will you commit to disappearing when you are proved to be wrong?

You hang around here like a sheep tick...sucking blood and damned hard to pick off...

I say again...do you have any real friends...I bet you're a bundle of fun in the pub...constantly doom-mongering...you probably thought coronavirus was no worse than the flu...but you'd make a great pantomime character that we could all boo...

All of my posts are objective...I don't grandstand...I back up my opinions with information and everyone knows I have a big holding in SOLG and what my strategy is...

There are many others on here whose views I totally respect, even if I don't always agree...

Now ask yourself...do you honestly think anyone respects your negative, derogatory, self-serving opinions...?

Why not stay on the STA Board and leave this thoroughly well behaved community to have its objective discussions, agree and disagree, without someone fundamentally disagreeable leaving an unpleasant smell every time he posts...

(assuming you are a he...)

AIMHO as usual...

DozyDuck,

Who said anything about the share price? I asked you a simple question and I'll repeat it

I make it multiple choice for you coz that wot they do for people that struggle to understand quetion

Wheres the $150m coming from and at what value

a) Streaming finance? What they gonna want for $150m.
b) Convertible bonds? What they gonna agree on exercise/strike price and 3 years or 2?
c) nuther form of finance/debt

You apparently ave years on watchin mining companies so answering all 3 of thise shud be carrots and bananas to you

i just need you to tell me sommat that has some releavance

so far all you done is say Nm misunderstanding this and misunderstanding that. But you seem weirdly keen to avoid pinnin your colours to the mast

I wonder why

Cobr cobra resources get in quick... should see past 4p today. Gold stock with news predicted to see us past 20p. The numbers are massive. Tiny mcap. Might be hard buying in. Hardly any free float. Buy before news imo. News should launch it.

Lefrene - we have to be grown up enough to admit our mistakes and learn from them.
We don’t lose - we win or we learn.

Anyway - SOLG share prices has correlated with Gold share price for 2020, so any material events like funding are welcome noise to further derisk this investment.
