When readers don't fall for all their spin they don't like it, they like it even less when they are wrong and I have been proved right. The funding announcement was going to take the share price into the 40s however it was patently obvious it was more hot air and not worth the cost of issuing the rns hence the fall back below the pre announce the price.Things are going to get tricky for solg going forward and they had all pinned their hopes in a bidding war, why would anyone start a bidding war in the current environment and elections 9 months away........

Oh dear as the price drops the more tetchy posters get. No problem I can highlight your ramping posts without having to hear your angry waffle, win win from where I'm sitting.

DBW/RL and others - astounding to see how many of my links appear soon afterwards on other sites without recognition. It would be welcomed occasionally.

NM has on many occasions said that he intends to take Solgold to production and yet we constantly see wild unfounded speculation about NM hoping to jack up the share price so that he can cash in his chips asap. Just to remind everyone, NM will decide nothing, the BOD will decide the future of Solgold, NM is a member of that BOD and has one vote, the same as all the other members of the board.

RP - a rather foolish opinion. So you want to put the blinkers on yourself do you ? Don't you want to know what other opinions than yours might be influencing your investment ? Or are you so all-knowing as to which opinions will do that, and which won't ? Investing in shares is all about pitting your opinion against others' - in which case its just as well to know theirs - don't you think ? - Or don't you think !

A bearish article on Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador

To eventually get copper and gold flowing out of Alpala, SolGold’s chief executive Nick Mather will have to climb not only the physical mountain but a metaphorical one too.

Many thanks for the Mining news Article.

To me various combinations of funding by BHP and Newcrest must have been offered, including partnerships and takeover. One problem NM has is the Options for Directors and STAFF @60p. How much have BHP and Newcrest offered to start with....NM will be holding on to get it up to at least 80p as final offer.....IMHO

OK Nasdaq...you're a destructive fool and you add nothing to this board...you have no position and you are somehow deluded into thinking your constant stream of negativity is valued by the readers here...

So I'm adding myself to the long list of those who have you filtered...

Enjoy talking to yourself.

Well unsurprisingly no one thought it worthy of further research (shocked I say!).... Anyway, the "Hats off to Nick Mather" opinion piece (obviously pro-Mather) I posted yesterday has some really interesting bits as well as inferred sour grapes, faux, disappointment and surprise from those locked out of the deal. Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador (behind paywall)."

One thing which stood out though is Nick Mather's complete drive to get market recognition of project value "...But it is our intention to maintain control of this company and continue to add value and have it reflected in the equities market"

The Writer suggests this package buys him time to deliver the higher value which, by extension, he would want to become the starting point in any takeover bid for the company.... Much higher than the 52 week high 41.9p.

What's the risk to Newcrest and BHP if Franco-Nevada goes all in to include up to $1 billion in gold and silver stream financing (which Ingo Hofmaier suggests is possible from the gold component) to fund a share of Alpala's $2.7 billion-plus development costs? he poses....

I think NM has made clear that he doesn't favour using equity to raise cash at the moment. Any raise would be for our other prospects and so unlikely we could call on the offtake arrangement either. Essentially, Ingo will need to have his thinking cap on.

Interesting to see NM values the company today at 5 times yesterdays value .

Anyone think BHP and Newcrest will put up 50m at 35p if offered ?

Gold just gone through the roof as i type .

The excitement of having 2 or 3 drill results a month will make up for it .the Sp will rise quickly if the news is good .

It's somewhat less exciting than getting an immediate return through takeover..... We probably have to wait 6 months for the discoveries to be announced and then you have all the mess of PEA, PFS, BFS etc. How boring.

I want them to get a permit for Rio Amarillo. If Blanca is as big as they think and Rio Amarillo, they will have 3 major finds relatively close together which will make them easier to manage. We would then have really exciting times ahead.

NM wants to start with Río Amarillo so i think that permit may pop up soon .

Blanca has always been my favorite but he played it down on the last webinar . He may have been telling us exactly as it is or maybe not due to Cornerstone. An annoucement weather on the 100% solgold site or the other will have the same affect on cornerstones shareprice .

He needs cornerstones share price as low as possible and our share price as high as possible so we can come to an agreement asap .

Glad it helped. I do think a softly softly approach for the permits is needed. We need to keep the indigenous people on side and we probably couldn't handle more than 3 or 4 permits at the moment. Get Blanca confirmed at Bonanza grade and we'll be motoring.

TSX is best ignored as it means nothing. Do you really think someone with inside information is going to try to signal it with a £15k trade? Interestingly, if things carry on as they are you might get a suitable entry point...

My thoughts are more news before . I dont agree with phattrader1 on some of the things he has said but i do think the meeting was put back for a reason . Of course that could be that 1 or more of them were not available and so they changed it until later but my gut says news Monday or Tuesday .

The price increase on Tmx was very strange .. maybe someone wanted to sell today and pushed the price up so they could offload today or maybe they got wind of something .
