Okay, thanks. My original interest in SOLI was based on a MIDAS "New Year" tip in 2019 although I didn't take the plunge until after the Lockdown dip in 2020.

Anyone any idea what caused the jump to 1300 bid at the open yesterday?
It certainly seemed to spark an unusual amount of trading.

Not convinced on this one post figures and presentation. Cyclical and M&A risks plus the stated 2030 ambitions lack any serious metrics to speak of - they chose a TSR target ffs.

Solid State to beat full year expectations as half year profit jumps

Solid State Plc posted impressive Interims for the HY to 30th September this morning. Revenues for the period were £59.4m (2021: £39.4m) including like-for-like constant currency organic revenue growth of circa 31%. Adjusted profit after tax was £4.16m (2021: £2.85m) a 46.0% yoy increase. The near-term outlook is also upbeat. The open order book on 30 November 2022 was £117.8m, up 37.8% on year end of £85.5m at 31 March 2022. Valuation is average with forward PE ratio at 17.1x, but this is not a constraint on further share price upside. The balance sheet is solid, while the share price also has very solid positive momentum. BUY....

Hi, yes, it would be interesting to understand more about SOLI and CYAN, Cyan have considerable and rapid expansion opportunities - but a very IMO stretched balance sheet. It looks to me as SOLI could complement by not only ensuring component supply (also for the wider exploding Indian Smart Meter industry?) but also assisting with Working Capital alleviation..A potential Win-Win? Will be looking closely for info at the Cyan AGM on the 21st, tightfist

I note the large contract announced by CyanConnode this morning and recall the following item from the SOLI update in April -

"The Group has enjoyed particularly strong demand in the energy and aerospace & defence sectors, with the latter now representing approximately 15% of the Group's revenue. Contracts awarded in Q4 of the Period by BAE Systems for marine platforms, and a Component solutions contract for smart meters in India for CyanConnode, illustrate the breadth of the customer base and applications secured."

As the item was worth a specific mention in the update, it would be interesting to know the possible significance of the CyanConnode contract to SOLI.
