The commencement of drilling at La Hueca marks the start of SolGold's next growth phase for the benefit of all shareholders and Ecuador. We have now extended that invitation to the shareholders of Cornerstone Capital Resources Ltd and continue to encourage them to accept the bid and share in our success as we grow."

No pleasing some folks. It`s so easy to be a critic.

They are running a company with lots going on and many current corporate challenges.

Their duty is not to the market but the wellbeing of the company and its future.

I still trust NM to be working hard for all of us and deciding what to prioritise. He`s closer to it all than we are.

I said yesterday that I thought we would get an RNS like this for Porvenir rather than la Hueca. However, I thought it would be more than one drill and a few weeks in rather than a few days.At least it starts the news flow and may generate increased interest.

Basically, all it says is that drilling commenced at la Hueca on 8 August with a single drill. The fact they haven't made a similar announcement about other sites suggests they have not yet commenced. Disappointing.

Perhaps this adds to the package for a takeover

What do you think? Not what I was hoping for, but it should keep the vultures circling.

I was already holding GPM in my portfolio, but had sold a chunk of them and all my Blackrock Gold & General last friday, expecting a correction in the gold/silver price...

This was a quick and easy to buy back my GPM and more at only a quarter of the cost of buying GPM themselves...

So I thought I'd share...it was triggered by the fact that the GPM share price had fallen to 54.6 as people panic sold, but the NAV printed at 67.8 this afternoon...

This fund is well managed and gives you an exposure to the worlds leading gold/silver miners without FOREX exposure...

And in fact while I held the two it had outperformed Blackrock Gold & General...

I've often wondered if one day it might get bought out...

Anyhow...as I said...just sharing...

As for the research, you know my strategy for the last 3 years or so has been gold/silver/copper, which makes it easier to focus and in the main (except DGR and MAG silver, I don't buy foreign shares)...

I'm always looking for undervalued shares, but take most of the tips with a pinch of salt...

Last week's strategic decision was to switch those goodies into FTSE companies that formerly paid a high dividend...they're in my ISA and the average 'former' yield I've bought is c15%, but when markets recover they should deliver capital gains as well as high yields...

Its part of my strategy for reinvesting my SOLG gains before they arrive...

Shares bought were:

Aviva, BP, BT, CNA, GFRD, INVP, LGEN, MNG, RDSA, WPP...already up £5,000+ but I'm still expecting a market setback before we emerge finally from COVID...

AIMHO as usual...

GLA and DYOR...

In the meantime, here is an interesting backdrop to SOLG

Keep the tips coming rp. You seem to spot a lot that aren't on other people's radar. Where do you get the research?

I'm looking for a leveraged gain in the next 3 months to add to my expected SOLG windfall...

Anyhow they're offered at 15.9p now...

Just sharing...

Mk, it's low volume again and so the price is where the MMs want it to be rather than where the market has taken it. Looks like we are still in the quiet period before our barrage of news kicks off.

If you're looking for a leveraged way to profit from Gold/Silver rebound while you wait (like me) for the big bucks payday in SOLG, have a look at GPSS...

These are a subscription share for GPM...you don't have to pay the final payment until November, which is surely at least a month or two after the fireworks here...

Granted the share price at 14p to buy is equivalent to a full price of 60p which is higher than the 58.6 you would have top pay for GPM, but...

The NAV of GPM is 67.8...if GPM rebounds to its recent high of 73.7, you make a 26% gain, but if GPSS recovers its own recent high of 24.8p you make a 77% gain...

Leaving you with two choices...

Sell your GPSS before November...

Use your SOLG gains to pay the 46p and continue your exposure to gold and silver...

AIMHO as usual...
