Phattrader1 rates us at 1.50 which includes us having very good drilling results .

DD,s latest upgrade rated us around 60p

Looks like it should be easy to get to 40p in the not too distant future . That is a 50% profit for anyone buying today .

Which makes me want to have one last top up before she goes into the 30,s probably this week .

Noccer, gold has the features you describe and is likely benefiting for the reasons you state. It is also physical and people have valued it for centuries. I suspect cryptocurrencies are benefiting for the same reason but I don't understand enough about them or trust them sufficiently to put my money in that direction. I suspect I'll be kicking myself for that attitude in years to come.

So gold is over $2060/oz and silver has rocketed too over the last week. Is this just because every major economy is printing money like crazy to shore up the effects of the virus shutdown? In the end gold being the only thing with fixed availability against which we should value all savings? Glad I hold SOLG and CEY, though for SOLG it was my ideas about future copper demand that drove my investment.

Lefrene .. The clock is ticking .

The PFS is coming closer the drilling if its started will give results before the PFS . NOt sure whats happening with Franco , Seems to be a bit of a secret.

Could be they are not interested .. we are not interested or the vurus has delayed everything .. Ecuador is now open so if it was because of the birus we should have news within 2 weeks now its open .

Drilling .. i will say it again why are we uninformed as to where we are drilling .how many rigs and when did we start ...whats the Secret ?

The CGP case is starting to look very weak. Criticisms of the board and governance structure have been addressed. Criticisms of the FNV deal are in the hands of shareholders. Makes CGP look naked.

Alternatively, it stays out of the meeting but support for the current directors gets the deal signed, replacing the directors means it doesn't. Just another weapon in the SOLG Armoury.

It may suit SOLG not to sign it until after the board meeting. They could table the meeting to support signing the agreement and remove the main criticism leveled by CGP and Newcrest that entering into the agreement was against interests of shareholders.

The 8 month duration on the bridging loan is interesting. In the original announcement, it was 4 months. SOLG haven't announced any change in the duration but 8 months would provide a lot more flexibility on when to complete the FNV transaction, including a delay until after the requisitioned board meeting.

FNV 2Q statement just published with reference to Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.Note 3 – Acquisitions and other transactions

(a) Acquisition of Alpala Royalty – Northern Ecuador
On May 11, 2020, the Company entered into an agreement with SolGold plc (“SolGold”) to acquire a 1% NSR with reference to all minerals produced from the Alpala copper-gold-silver project in northern Ecuador for $100.0 million. The Alpala project is owned by Exploraciones Novomining SA, which is held 85% by SolGold and 15% by Cornerstone Capital Resource Inc. SolGold has the option to increase the size of the transaction to $150 million for a 1.5% NSR until January 11, 2021 and also has the option to buy-back 50% of the royalty for a period of time. Franco-Nevada is entitled to receive certain minimum royalty payments from 2028 and the Company also has the option to convert the NSR to a gold NSR for a period of time once Alpala is producing. The closing of the acquisition is subject various conditions. In May 2020, the Company provided SolGold with a bridge loan of $15 million for a period of up to 8 months. The royalty interest has not been recorded as at June 30, 2020 as the transaction has not yet closed.

This was probably not he RNS we were waiting for.
Nevertheless it is very pleasing RNS , strengthening of the board.
Giving the right message, confirming NM is serious about SOLG becoming a mining company.Onward and Upward. GLA

I doubt if they would want to dilute the impact of this element of their strategy with minor bits and pieces and will be trying to ensure that any substantial drilling news is strategically timed to ensure maximum impact. I do expect the Franco agreement
to be ratified soon and that will be the one they use to emphasise their current strength and goals.

If solgold have another discovery the share price will go up and Cornerstone will come on board .Nothing to worry about at the moment .

Shame the company has not come out with a schedule for drilling .. when where and how many rigs as well as the start date .Would really add interest to the share .

The costs up to DFS are paid out of a royalty on production. CGP will have to find over £400m to pay their share of the build cost after DFS. CGP don't have to find any money until after DFS.

tibszol, CGP are carried through to DFS, not PFS. Even then, they only pay their share of the mine build costs as those costs are incurred. What payment were you demanding at the end of PFS?

SP Angel's view Solgold SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador.

The strengthening of the Board and establishing a majority of non-executives appears to us to be part of the company’s natural evolution and changing requirements for a more diverse range of skill-sets as it moves from its exploration success at Alpala to taking on the challenges of developing a major mine.

We also note that in its recent rejection of Solgold’s overtures, Cornerstone Capital made a number of attacks on Solgold management which the initiatives announced today would neutralise to a significant degree.

Conclusion: The evolving board level management restructuring is expected to see a majority of non-executive directors in-post by the end of this year and provides an opportunity to broaden the skills base of its leadership as Solgold builds on its successful exploration roots and starts mine development at Alpala.

What if Solgold refuses Cornerstone`s request to call an EGM ,and dismisses any resolution to replace Solgold`s BOD. Can they in fact do it. What percentage of Solgold`s shareholders would be required to force an EGM. The shareholders of Cornerstone need To call for an EGM to pass a resolution to dismiss and replace their BoD on the grounds that they have demonstrated spectacular incompetence and are unfit to be running the company. Either way I believe that Cornerstone is well and truly shafted, Solgold could sit and do nothing and following PFS demand Cornerstone pay up what is owed, that should see the end of Cornerstone or see an almighty rush by their shareholders to accept Solgold`s takeover offer.
