29/7/2020 13:23 | Isn't that self evident? As investors are not insiders, they would value the remaining company at 5p plus whatever is going to be distributed as a special dividend. | ![]() lowtrawler
29/7/2020 13:20 | Gold spike again ...1973 Those PFS numbers are looking silly compared to the current price . Throw in a major strike in one of the 3 sites being drilled and we maybe closer to 126 not 26p | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 13:13 | The other 'reality' to remember is that even if Solg got, say, 50p per share by selling off, that wouldn't be reflected in the share price because investors would regard it (or a lot of it) as earmarked for exploring the rest. | dozyduck
29/7/2020 12:23 | Market today . Same as yesterday .. someone adding which means they donot want to take many AT trades on the ask side as it only pushes up the price . Better if they accumalate from the mm,s .My guess is it will be the Mm.s pushing up the AT,s when they need more stock . | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 11:58 | DD, agree with your reality check. I still have my doubts on the capital gains tax. Most jurisdictions have an equivalent of rollover relief which allows you to offset capital gains tax on reinvesting to similar assets. I see no reason why SOLG can't do this? The big unknown for SOLG valuation is how much the other sites are worth. You have an upper limit of around 60p for Alpala. To outsiders, the other sites might be worth 5p. If an insider is confident on 2/3 additional Alpala's, what price then?In my view, a competitive bid situation would extract significantly more value than Alpala alone. Any initial bid is unlikely to be far from 40p but it will invite competition. I have said a number of times that I think 60p - 120p is a likely successful bid range. I maintain that view. | ![]() lowtrawler
29/7/2020 11:51 | POB You are the miners` miner. Anyone else seen a ref to this? Surely a decimal place needed. Canadian explorer SolGold – headed by an Aussie – recently reported 650 grams per tonne of gold in one drill hole. | ![]() arcadian
29/7/2020 11:29 | Curious article with a reference to Solgold made SOLG $SOLG $SOLG.L $CGP #cascabel #ecuador. "...Sources told us there was speculation among Australian miners that Hanrine and Carlos Miguel may have been subject to corporate espionage as the rush to secure prospective land and projects in the country has been intensely competitive." | ![]() pob69
29/7/2020 09:47 | If the forthcoming DFS confirms something like the original $4.5bn NPV and $2.8bn capex (rough figures)at a sensible discount rate that a buyer would accept is valid for 'him', I estimate the most he would pay so as to ensure his own profit would be $1.5bn - which means that after meeting the capex and therefore having paid a total of $4.3bn he would get back $7.3bn over Alpala's life. ie he gets a 'profit' of $3bn on an outlay of $4.3bn. Pay any more and his profit falls by the extra. So as I've always said, the 'project' is worth much more to Solg than it would be to any buyer. Not only that but with Solg having spent around $200m on Cascabel by now, as NM says the capital gains tax would be pretty horrendous even at a $1.5bn sale price. | dozyduck
29/7/2020 09:32 | At the moment, it's still a guess and more a warning that we're currently trading blind compared to many others. | ![]() lowtrawler
29/7/2020 09:11 | Lowtrawler. Its been my opinion for a while . Majors cant let Gold go to 2500 or 3000 dollars an oz and just sit there ..can they ? | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 09:01 | DD I`m assuming that`s based on assumptions but most of the assumptions point to a very valuable string of assets for development or sale-take your pick but either way the suns are pretty big and the assets wanted by the world. | ![]() arcadian
29/7/2020 08:58 | I referred to the spread yesterday being set at a level where for around 30 minutes there was basically no buying or selling. After that, the shares took off. This is typical for an insider briefing. The people trading currently know more than we do. For the FNV deal, CGP response or first drilling report, there would be no reason to delay an RNS and so I would have expected one this morning. That leaves a bid approach. Just my best guess. | ![]() lowtrawler
29/7/2020 08:49 | DD i think you know what i mean . 30k at 26.80 130k at 27p | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 08:45 | PFS doesn't value the shares Mckn It values the 'project', and even then is as elastic as in the proverbials in Dead GoldDiggers Gulch. | dozyduck

29/7/2020 08:24 | Level 2 update To buy ....690 x 26.00 Then up to 26.40 30k No buying as they want in at 26p imho but at the moment you can only get 690 shares . Only 55k on the offer to take it to 27 p Maybe wrong but could take off big time today . Now 10k at 26.05 . If you want voume 130k you need to pay 27p on the AT.s Thats not a ramp its an opinion looking at level 2 | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 08:17 | Lol if I stalked you I would be on here all day like you for no profit, much better things to do with my time, however I do like outing ramping liars who are clueless, you are right up there with the best........ | ![]() nas_daq
29/7/2020 08:15 | My stalker just arrived with his wisdom no doubt . 32k at 26.33 is interesting and pointing the way . | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 08:13 | Lol mkrampy straight in the case, when I last looked solg don't produce anything or have any income.......Even better though his buys from 8 weeks ago still not in profit despite 400 ramping posts in the intervening period.............. | ![]() nas_daq
29/7/2020 08:11 | Should see a decent rise today again . Gold around 1957 . PFS values the share well over 75p with current values so nothing to pull it back .imho | ![]() mknight
29/7/2020 07:35 | It`s been imperceptible but not any more. The buy side on the book has been very assertive. Hang in there although there could be attempts to shake out weak or recent holders. | ![]() arcadian
29/7/2020 00:06 | Everybody look what's going down, there's battle lines being drawn. Hooray for our side.Don't think it was normal trading today, had a smell of insider trading. Confident that means news, just don't know which news. | ![]() lowtrawler
28/7/2020 21:54 | Lowtrawler. First drilling report .. seems a bit early Response to Cgp .. not sure it would move the market . Bid recieved .. possible Fnv deal signed .. possible No RNS equally possible as the rise may just be seller finished and undervalued by a long way . | ![]() mknight
28/7/2020 21:22 | Today's action suggests we are close to news. It's either going to be: - first drilling report - response to CGP - bid received - FNV deal signedExpect an RNS this week. | ![]() lowtrawler
28/7/2020 18:00 | Lowtrawler28 Jul '20 - 10:37 - 23935 of 23955 0 0 0 Somethin's happenin here. What it is ain't exactly clear.... You were right and at the time it was just a feeling but the buy side has been pretty strong these last two days and it now might just be that the gloves are off. The closing share price is for real and we will await tomorrow with eager anticipation. Who knows there might even be some news. | ![]() arcadian |
