You know what JL...for someone who comes across as an expert you know little about stock markets, otherwise you would know what an Uncrossing Trade is...that is the result of the closing auction between 16.30 and 16.35...and that it sets the closing price for the London Stock Market quote...

Its how the Market Makers sort out their net positions at the end of the day...

You sometimes get them at the start of the day and there was one this morning at 8.00.11 for 4,356 at 33.00

Yesterday's UT was at 16.35.09...you can see it on whatever trades reference you use...121,652 at 32.55...and that set the closing price...

When you see a quote such as the one on LSE right now, of 32.50 32.80 33.35 change -0.05 (-0.15%), the price (32.5) is taken from the last bargain that went through, 15/20 minutes ago; the 'Market Quote' is taken from the highest bid and lowest offer publicly quoted by the Market Makers (in high volume stocks that will be close to the actual prices you could achieve but in AIM and/or lower volume stocks you may invariably find you can get improvement on a firm electronic quote when you test the price (on II there is a button that says 'Preview Order' which allows you to see the firm best price you can obtain before you actually buy the shares).

MK, the reason to own is because of the upcoming announcements. Speculation that SOLG will receive a bid this year is just that, speculation. I think most of us expect a bid at some point but it's impossible to know the timing.You went big on there being a takeover last month. You are now banging the drum for this month. Eventually you are likely to be right but it's a stab in the dark.

Its a few years away 😃 BHP will take us out because we are cheap an offer of 1.5 billion would take the lot .

NM has done everything he can but i think his time is up . BHP know the time to move is now before Porvenit and Rio AMARILLO are proven along with a string of others .

Has the share price gone down due to traders selling or has a third party put the blocks on ? If its the later than an offer could be made at anytime .

70p would be quite interesting for some now . A few weeks ago most wated over a pound .

Our market cap is now only 667 million that is dangerously low and open to an offer at any time by a number of companies .

Could come at anytime thats why i have stopped trading the share .

Me too- here*s wishing as in that article written by C.Jasmine, there was NO OTHER outside co named except Solgold. Olympic Dam, Escondida and another are BHP*s established mines and extensions but no OUTSIDE investment [major] except Solgold mentioned in all its praise.
