14/2/2019 10:00 | Crocodile Dundee, as it happens, no. I have no mahongy here. There are the wise, and then those that think they are wise. I do not fall under either. Goblin out | goblin99
14/2/2019 09:45 | If you're going to pick people up on their grammar, it's best to get your own right first True - albeit and rather importantly T is a huge hitter both for his quality of posts and level of understanding of this sector. Vs a random riddler I know where my "add value" needle sits! | nigelpm
14/2/2019 09:24 | "I feel my time has come to move on" Thank Christ for that. | stepone68
14/2/2019 09:23 | RIP goblin | weeeck
14/2/2019 09:22 | Orient express, you may view them as riddles, alas they are not. Should one wish to understand, the answer is there, but many are blind to it. I do not guide or lead, for if I did, it would only be the weak that follow. I feel my time has come to move on. | goblin99
14/2/2019 08:56 | Time to move on guys, this will breach 70p and fall further. I bought at that level and sold at 76p when I saw the resistance at 77p. | alamaison5
14/2/2019 08:49 | Stemis he he lol the irony was not lost on me either! | dunderheed
14/2/2019 08:16 | You can read what you wish, make of it what your mind desires. It is only the few that understand; that in itself is sufficient to gain understanding of the voice of reason. | goblin99
14/2/2019 08:12 | Time to dispose of Vietnam if progress has become so difficult to make? it took you to write that for me to think "should have been done years ago". When did SOCO last announce anything out of Vietnam that added economic value to shareholders (by that, I mean put the stock on a path to be growing at more than 8% a year). Asagi (long SIA) | asagi
14/2/2019 08:12 | Seems like the Merlon deal is the future for SIA and anything else they can conjure-up in the meantime. Vietnam is turning out to be a drag. Good thing I didn't average down just yet. I was tempted though. Would have been throwing more money at SIA and seeing it dwindle again. If we ever get really good news then it will be time, perhaps, to consider averaging down. | lauders
14/2/2019 08:08 | Screwed in the South China Sea:-( | redartbmud
14/2/2019 08:00 | Of course you wouldn't really expect to see much happening - and as soon as reserves implications are clear, they must be published - so doubtless hands are tied on RNS timing etc. As in 2015 - though much less material this time. | emptyend
14/2/2019 07:42 | This is looking slightly overvalued now in comparison to rre, trim etc | russiaguru
14/2/2019 07:36 | Indeed. Jann told me back in October that a license extension was more likely then not but I can't see any evidence either of pursuing that. | nigelpm
14/2/2019 07:28 | What puzzles me is that they appear to have made little effort to get a licence extension, despite a bunch of delays outside company control that have now resulted in a reserves cut. Geologically little/nothing has changed - it seems all down to work programme delays and the licence length.Time to dispose of Vietnam if progress has become so difficult to make? | emptyend
14/2/2019 07:22 | Reserves downgrade. Didn't expect that. | nigelpm
13/2/2019 20:20 | As the bags of fruit arrive in plentiful, I look up to the sky, in search of light to provide that but a glimmer. For it is not the light that I seek, but it's virtue in guiding me through the times of uncertainty. The uncertainty is what is required, for the fruit is not yet edible. I know, waiting will be rewarded, with what I do but know. It is only then, that I recall The Battle of Okehazama. | goblin99
13/2/2019 19:43 | DAVOS FEBRUARY 9, 2019 / IMF's Lagarde says oil exporters have not fully recovered from oil shock, cautions against 'white elephant projects' She said there was scope to improve fiscal frameworks in the Middle East with some of the weaknesses emanating from “short-termism and insufficient credibility”. Lagarde said governments in the region might be tempted to favor white elephant projects instead of investment in people and productive potential. | buywell3
13/2/2019 16:27 | Correct, Orient. But that can't really begin in earnest until the Merlon deal closes. I sincerely hope that the groundwork has been done and they can hit the ground running with a closed deal and fresh results in March.IMO there should be a good forward story to tell, given the explo upside. | emptyend
13/2/2019 12:31 | They badly need a decent Public Relations specialist...solid company, dividend paying and there's virtually zero interest in the stock..dinner time & only 40,000 traded so far!! I'd be having board members going round the City selling the story to fund managers, high net worth individuals and generating some hype amongst both traders & long term investors. A Company like SOCO should be trading 1 million plus shares a day, dividend yield should be no more than 3% which means on the current yield the share price should be trading double this price not lingering around these levels! | 0rient
13/2/2019 12:09 | Results on 6/3. Expect nothing before then unless they close the deal. | emptyend |
