I thought this was an interesting story this morning.. Seplat, a Nigerian based company, was put 'on hold' and accused of breaking Nigerian law for using external subcontractors...interesting because in the case of MEDev, who have COSL to drill their wells, to which COSL also provide their own required subcontractors as part of the deal.

I think we've expounded every theory under the sun as to the location of the rig...As all is just conjecture...allow me to provide one more. We know as fact that Add Energy and Havoc are managing both SRSP and the PVD Gabon operation about 180 miles away. Both ADD and Havoc have no financial input into SRSP, yet the Gabon project has the possibility of $40m injection for a 80% stake in a project that has an oil column of 140ft, that was, incidentally, surveyed and confirmed by Schlumberger. November '17, the talks seem to be going well and every one was on a high. By the end of January, a dispute erupted over some technicality and the talks stalled, then they were back on again and currently past their agreed settlement date... and not yet settled. The point being that the varying drill dates given by SRSP seem to have a parallel with the 'on' and 'off' negotiations in Gabon and suggests a possibility that in view of the ADD/Havoc partnership who are managing srsp as well, that Gabon has been prioritised over ORORO, and ORORO is subservient to Gabon in which the ADD/Havoc team have a greater interest to which funds have already been allotted....even the PVD rns wording has a similar vein in that they originally gave an estimated drill date and the latest being that 'ADD is currently preparing a rig contracting strategy...and confident a well will be drilled in 2018.'....not to mention that our original rig, 'the Power' was used as PVD rns source. I find the parallels compelling.

Well not quite, DrR, it’s anchored about 40 km off Sharjah. If this is indeed our ship then we can expect to see it moving closer in within a day or two, and/or we may see tugs pulling an invisible object out of Dubai docks towards the HLV.

CNOOC, COSCO team up to exploit energy resources

China National Offshore Oil Company Limited (CNOOC), the country's largest offshore oil and gas producer, has signed an agreement on exploiting energy resources with China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO Group), China's largest shipping group.

The two sides have agreed to jointly exploit energy resources including liquid natural gas (LNG) by transferring CNOOC shares to COSCO Group or co-funding, CNOOC, the country's third-biggest oil company has said in an announcement on its website.

CNOOC and COSCO have been cooperating on transportation of crude oil, oil products, LNG, natural gas pipes and other facilities.

"We are complementary to COSCO in business and prospects for mutual cooperation are promising," said Fu Chengyu, chairman and chief executive officer of CNOOC.

CNOOC has reported first half net profits down by 10.6 percent from the same period last year to 14.55 billion yuan.

COSCO Group is China's largest ship repair and marine engineering and shipping group and one of the top shipping conglomerates in the world.

Now anchored at Sharjah, the same port where Force was towed to 2 weeks ago.

With Minichris’s spot re the HLV being virtually on top of FORCE it might well be, Sherlock. Means that at the AGM they may well announce an ETA on site, if it is not already there, or almost.

‘The options granted on 19 December 2017 at were assumed to vest in 7/19/31 months on their vesting date as the succesful first commercial production of hydrocarbons to surface is expected in July 2018.’

This is from the Annual Results p.41, dated 14th May. So with a 45 day drill we must be expecting to spud in June... which means mobilisation must be very imminent.

Something has to give. They sell the subsidiary which governs the Ororo hub/cluster Project to an incoming Chinese participant. Say $150m. Alternatively they sell their 40% option in 241. New direction about to unfold. Will they continue picking up stranded gas assets by farming in with penniless partners desperate to get back into production? Perhaps why the money men have been invited onto the new BoD, not a driller in sight.

Currently the vessel XIANG HE KOU is on her next destination to SHARJAH and the estimated time of arrival (ETA) is around May 19, 16:00.

Can only be a stones throw from the Force now ? May be a coincidence but IMO 2 + 2 = 4

The rig being on site ready to spud with all well heads etc ready ,may be a requirement of the FTSA/JOA and equally a requirement of any sale.

On 4 billion shares 5p equates to £200 million. That may well be what the Sirius ororo(oml)95 investment is sold for although it may well be more given what I suspect it's gas may be used for...10p or £400million would give Sirius cash to fill it's other investments with assets and I suspect those assets have been developed to some degree. It then becomes clear as to why we have a consortium of such enormity.BP,SCHLUMBERGER(holds all the seismic data for the Niger Delta)COSL (state of the art rigs that can drill in waters of 300+ feet).havoc,(gas experts)GOLAR LNG.gasification experts.
