It was pretty obvious from the agent’s marketing brochure that they’re looking for tenants to physically occupy this new development rather than just providing post opening/meeting room by the hour services.... but I picked up the phone and verified it anyway.

Why would a Co. about to actively manage enormous producing assets have an INTERIM COO, one that's not even on the BoD? And an 80-year old Chairman. C'mon, NewCo mid-tier is going to bring in its own appointees.

More likely we'll see certain Ds spin off, rather like Discover Oil formed out of the remnants of Cove Energy. Form a genuine lean cash-rich acquirer with new indigenous partners. The big stuff is way beyond current BoD management capabilities, imo. New office fits with the new direction.

That's my point as well, doug51, I'm suggesting that they are possibly not taking on rented floor space at all, but that this is just the official registered office address, perhaps because the person acting as Company Secretary works there?

So perhaps they are not spending loads of money, as some have suggested.

doug 51.. I wouldn't worry about it....it's the third change they've had since I've been here, Charles St, Berkley Sq, postal address or bona fide offices....either way It makes no difference. A Registered Address is a legal requirement.

i agree with rosso i bet ophir now wish the had sold the other 80% for over 5 billion. as it is now by the time they have farmed most of it out they will be left with a small wedge hence the problem they now have trying to sort funding. they would have been sitting on a 6 billion plus war chest if they could have sold the lot. hopefully stein and taylor can get some big bucks for our assets
