19/4/2018 12:27 | It is indeed a win-win but investors need to have realistic expectations as I can find no precedent anywhere of a company selling purely the options on some fields for a huge sum of money. I especially can’t see it happening in Nigeria in the current climate of increased transparency where everyone and their dog will immediately cry ‘foul’. Plus I rather suspect the BoD have a very strong sense of the huge potential of our assets and won’t sell any of the family silver too early and cheaply. BP & Schlumberger et al, plus it appears deep pocketed financiers have carried out stringent due diligence and have demonstrated strong support of our BoD, our assets & strategy, so let’s see how things continue to develop in the near term. If drilling targets slip yet again because that’s often the nature of working in complex global consortium scenarios, well so be it. In the grand scheme of things it won’t matter that much...and it also won’t deter all the new investors who will shortly be buying shares here at higher prices than today. This doesn’t mean we have to endure a painfully slow production slog for the next 5 years with minimal growth... that’s not how I see it at all. With everything we’ve established nicely coming in to play all together, I can foresee the rapid transformation into a key and highly respected player in Nigeria. We really should be looking at an mcap of hundreds of $millions over this next year. Let’s get Ororo moving, bring other assets into play, realise the rapid growth the BoD estimate and then see who might come knocking on the door of 25 Bury Street. You never know, we might even be turning potentially interested suitors away. | sherl0ck
19/4/2018 12:22 | The contents of this new office would include the following items.. A Colouring in book Three well used crayons One half used (very chewed) pencil A packet of melted chocolate buttons An idiots guide to investing on the AIM Travel Brochures for Nigeria (unopened) An appointment card for Specsavers John Bicks phone number in case someone rings the office phone to give to investors to avoid any questions A Dart board with Rossos face on, very well used. In the fridge they have 2 carrots, one potato and three special brew lager at 15 percent to ease them through the days and years. | xerot
19/4/2018 12:14 | Less action here than in Frank Spencer's Y Fronts. They are gonna take a very long time to do anything at all that seems to be all we have learned over the years. | xerot
19/4/2018 12:07 | Sherl10ck...I can only hope you're right... (this is where I came in) '....the Company is assessing suitable candidates to provide the appropriate oil services for the drilling operations on the field, including the procurement of a drilling rig slot for the second half of 2012.. | htrocka2
19/4/2018 12:06 | You and me both Astral !! | solarno lopez
19/4/2018 12:03 | Whatever direction is taken, Sherl0ck, it's a win-win situation. The real thing that has struck me as ludicrous is the constant reference to drilling tomorrow. The transfer of status from investing Co to operating Co is not without reason. Going in with other marginal field operators will see NewSirius as directly involved rather than taking a back seat and pumping money into the venture. I suspect that a couple of large assets have indeed been cherry picked. Eyes on the Bury St office for a train of colourful visitors intent on farming out what they sit on. What kind of deals are we looking at perhaps? A $20m investment via a newly created spv operating subsidiary could easily buy a 40% stake in a 50mmb stalled field ready to go again. Returns here in terms of asset value appreciation are far more substantial and immediate than ploughing on through a 5-year production sequence on the currently held pipeline options. Acc to Our Man, fields are there for the taking, near-instant cash-generative. No surprise that Sirius has been approached by willing suitors. Await next AD, including rto and brief suspension for shareholder approval. In the immortal words of Sir Bob G, " just give us the fukn money". | dr rosso
19/4/2018 12:02 | Boo hoo, you mean no Chinese take away next week, or even Thai?I'm totally shocked! | astralvision
19/4/2018 11:52 | Nonsense....ludicrou | solarno lopez
19/4/2018 11:49 | Since the BoD and our expert advisors have shown themselves to be fully capable of sitting in the boardrooms of some of the very biggest names in the O&G industry and striking good deals over the past two years, it seems illogical to not extend this further and assume that they couldn’t then leverage the consortium’s deep operational expertise to commence asset development. All this talk of imminent lowball takeover and the consortium then moving on to align with a mid-tier that will already have its own capability anyway is complete nonsense... as will undoubtedly be shown from the next RNS or two. I thought the brand new office info would help demonstrate our intent but no, it seems to spawn yet more ludicrous ideas. I bought another 2m+ shares this past week based on the massive accretive upside potential here that comes from establishing and realising a very smart partnership & financing strategy, not because the shares are going to be taken off us in the next couple of weeks for 50p, 30p, 15p.... or heaven forbid, 6p! | sherl0ck
19/4/2018 10:38 | I do like Chinese but also Thai cuisine | solarno lopez
19/4/2018 10:35 | Re fantasy production, certainly has been so far.Cracking effort from Dr Rosso, beats reading about blasted rigs, hlvs etc.6p or 10p, I'm well happy, bring on the Chinese take away, luvvly jubbly. | astralvision
19/4/2018 10:23 | The only wild theory on this BB has been the one focused on production drilling. Needless to say, it's a fantasy. | dr rosso
19/4/2018 10:20 | I do love Doc Rosso | solarno lopez
19/4/2018 10:15 | These shares will be worth their wait in gold . . . . . . . . One fine day 😉 | handygandhi
19/4/2018 10:11 | A further rerate to 10p is most defo on because the new lean Co. is in a hugely advantageous bargaining position. It can go in on $100m Ororo-like fields where production has come to a halt, at very little cost. Asset value will soar for minimum outlay. Eg Seme Field in neighbouring Benin. Indigenous Sapetro unable to do anything with it atm, desperate for a partner. 12 million bbl of oil and 77 bcf of gas reserves in Benin Republic's lone oil field, Seme, located in shallow offshore Benin Basin, on the border with Nigeria, will be brought back on stream by mid- 2014, it is official. The Nigerian minnow South Atlantic Petroleum(SAPETRO) , says it will start drilling, from the last quarter of 2013, ..... Plenty of Nigerian independents unable to do anything with marginals acquired in bid rounds. | dr rosso
19/4/2018 10:08 | Shez, I agree with you in every aspect. Hope we get an update before month end. | 1alfi
19/4/2018 10:06 | oh dear me at a price of 6p I wont be able to pay my capital gains tax you could have said 10p Doc then I could lived in ignorant bliss | solarno lopez
19/4/2018 09:49 | If the mms didn't have the brakes on them trades alone would see this up 20 percent if they wanted it..clear games. | aventador
19/4/2018 09:37 | buyers @ .95. higher lows , . need some flipping news | eye2
19/4/2018 09:35 | A lot of buying this morning yet they've dropped the price this is clearly being manipulated for whatever reason until they release something big. | aventador
