Brent now cranked $69 (remember, that the low sulphur, high quality Nigerian Crude sells at a premium)

But Bent crude is $68.69 as I write, to which Nigerian crude is more closely aligned, I believe, 6cer.

Dr r. Two degrees understands that as he stated in his reply but also understands there has been a large seller/s going on here since we come back from suspension! Who would of thought after the ad we would still be where we are today! Talk of more shares and consolidation is scary!

Twodegree, the trick is to look for two trades very close together, sometimes a little difference in price if the fees are taken as shares. The trades can be marked anywhere within the spread, so marked as either sells, buys or unknowns. I think you will find examples of all three in the last two days

1sonic and drrichard, thank you, I am able to understand Isa switches with a large holding of Sirius already tucked away in my Isa. It is still the case that apart from switches the general move is still showing sells and until drilling news comes out this was go sideways for a few weeks yet. Regards to you both.

Quite so 1Sonic. If twodegrees cannot tell the difference between a rollover and two trades he has no credence.

Don't get disheartened guys. I'm relatively new here (since the summer) and I think it's a very stable share which is just about to turn a corner, as long as drilling does go ahead as planned!, it's just excruciatingly slow. Hence I class SRSP as a "savings account" rather than a big money investment. Looking forward to March..

There is no way that the big money is going to be committed until the O2 is drilled, at which point they will have confirmation data on zones D, G, and 5oo' below.
REYL, LOG and BP are all set to move in just as soon as they know the 2P reserves,Ororo proven up, derisked. It then becomes the collateral for delving into the pipeline of assets.

Imagine you want to build a new £1m house. But you are not sure of the foundations. who's going to lend money on it until a comprehensive geological survey has been carried out? Who pays out 20 grand for the survey.... YOU do.

Just a minor curious point...worth a read.

...in the AD, the 'initial estimated' rate of flow is put at 2700 boed, no where will you find such a low estimate that includes the 'e'. ie, gas, into the estimate. The figure came neither from Rockflow or Schlum's Independent Estimate Assessment but from the initial Ororo 1 result by Chevron...which does not include gas. Chevron gave a higher estimate back in 2011, yet for reason unknown, SRSP have given themselves an exceptionally low initial target.....to begin with.

from the AD
4. Key strengths Subject to the approval of the Resolutions, the Directors and Proposed Directors believe that the Group’s key strengths include:
•a n initial programme to drill the Ororo
2 well and access the contingent oil and gas resources in the Ororo field with an early production scheme through an extended well test generating an initial estimated rate of 2,700 boepd

from rns dated 10/October/2011
Ororo Field Summary

-- The Ororo Field sits in shallow water offshore Ondo State, Nigeria, in water depths ranging between 23 ft and 27 ft.;

-- The Ororo Field was discovered in 1986 with the drilling of the Ororo-1 well by Chevron, which penetrated 197 ft of hydrocarbons in twelve sandstone reservoirs at points close to the crest of each reservoir structure. These consist of 72ft true vertical thickness ("TVT") of net gas pay and 125ft TVT of net oil pay. The Ororo-1 well tested at c. 2,200 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") from a single zone, and ca 600 bopd from another; two further zones tested gas, and eight zones remain untested. Chevron acquired both 2D and 3D seismic over the Ororo Field;

As long as oil is flowing by summer then it won't be an issue as the share price will be multiples of now.Just as always a waiting game.

Agree deadly I feel the same this wears you down each day seeing the pitiful share price dwindling down not rising up as it should be by now.
Hopefully soon we will see the trend reverse but we need oil flowing I think for anything significant.

aventador this lot have got to pull something out of the hat by march. if no news by then i am selling up and off. one bit of confidence i have is the fact those folk who bought in at 1p will want to see a return, so at some point we should hopefully see a spike even if thats just so they might dump a load of shares

What an upside down bowl??
Doesn't the price need to go up before we see a bowl form all I can see formed is a big drop.
We literally need 100% rise again just to match last year's high now and back then we didn't even have any news.. makes you feel sicker and sicker longer this painfully drags on.

The oil price is about 37% above Rockflows CPR estimate....one would have thought that this would have been reflected in the share price ....but strangely ..no.
