12/1/2018 12:52 | the guy on twitter sums it up this must be the only oil share that has not moved upwards lately. its crazy considering the project finance costs and oil being at 70 dollars. either all us invested here have not got a clue what we are doing or the market knows something we don't. this should be bang over 1p at the moment and if this lot can get a rns out about rig on its way then we should see 1.5p. everything about this share has always been done the hard way right down untill the last, any potential returns here will be very very hard earned | deadly nightshade
12/1/2018 12:46 | 0.88p being offered on a dummy sell | deadly nightshade
12/1/2018 10:44 | In view of todays rns I thought I'd post a related article from 'The Times' dated 10/12/2014 (it had to be via cut and paste as registration is required) The oil price is cratering, oil shares are forlorn. Shunned by fund managers, starved of cash, the junior explorers and producers, long since AIM’s go-go shares, have been friendless for two years or more. All the more surprising, then, that one of the City’s best-known figures has backed a little-known tiddler that plans to drill in Nigeria in the first few months of the new year. Michael Spencer, the founder and chief executive of Icap, a £2.7 billion interdealer broker facilitating chunky trades between the big banks, has quietly bought into Sirius Petroleum through his investment vehicle, IPGL. The former Tory Party treasurer backed Sirius in November’s $30 million fundraising — half equity placing, half convertible loan — in the same month in which he sold his City Index spread-betting firm to a New York rival for $82 million. In the previous month, Sirius signed up John Taylor and Alan Stein, the founders of Ophir Energy, as advisers on how best to develop its assets in Nigeria, where production costs remain well below the present $66 oil price, and on others it might want to buy. Yesterday, Sirius dipped 7.1 per cent to 2.28p, valuing the company at nearly £27 million as oil continued to hover about its lowest in five years and as stock markets took fright. | htrocka2

12/1/2018 08:04 | Ht, your spot of the uptick in rig status jives with this, which might, in part, explain the delay in moving forward. Patently, upgrading a warm-stacked rig to operational is not just a question of pulling a few switches and crewing up. ...If you have warm stacked an asset and kept within the Class Society’s guidelines for surveys, it will likely take 2 months to be ready to drill the next well. And, from the AD In November 2016, the Company entered into the Drilling Agreement with COSL for...Upon execution of the agreement, the Company paid COSL a non refundable deposit of US$500,000. A further fee of US$3 million is payable to COSL for the mobilisation of the drilling unit no less than 60 days prior to the date the drilling unit departs for the Ororo Field. | drrichard
12/1/2018 07:58 | On the contrary. Seeing that Spreadex have recently dumped 36m shares, at least we now know a key contributing factor for the softening share price. | sherl0ck
