Sirius Petroleum, an investment company focused on oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in Nigeria, awarded Schlumberger a multiwell contract for ISM operations in the Ororo field. The contract, which will begin later in 2017, includes directional drilling services, logging, completion and production fluids, cementing and pumping services, well intervention and stimulation products and services, well testing services, wellsite communications, data and software solutions as well as Cameron wellheads and production trees.

nigerian oil and gas fields are masses of untouched energy resources fingers crossed folks that sirius have exclusive first dibs on some of them and thats what makes the big guns interested in doing business with them. its a bit like a person owning prime building land in london which he aquired for not a large amount of money and this person has not got all the finance or the know how to develop it to its maxiumn potential the big developers with massive finance and expertise would circle and want this land for what should be a massive premium!!!

Agreed, Deadly. When you consider that Schlumberger can get this sort of deal it makes you wonder what we have to offer doesn’t it?

Apart from the joint venture, Schlumberger has also entered into a tripartite agreement with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), FIRST Exploration & Production (First E&P) for development of the Anyala and Madu fields under OML 83 and OML 85, offshore Nigeria. The fields are estimated to hold reserves of 193 million barrels of crude and 800 billion cubic feet of gas, and are expected to produce 50,000 barrels of oil and 120 million cubic feet of gas daily on completion of field development in early 2019.

Also note how it said sirius AWARDED schlumberger the contract. That sounds positive in the sense that sirius seem to be calling the shots. I will be amazed if there are not bigger assets behind the scenes. Maybe sirius have more clout then everyone thought here. These bigs guns are surely circling for something
