Could there be anything in the JOA that allows for oil to flow before Sirius's status changes to an operating company ?

Htrocka..does not the balance of power in the shareholder base suggest that the egm is a forgone conclusion.This all plan has been very well planned in my view and the inaction in respect of drilling ororo2 leads me to only one logical conclusion.of course thats only my view

A small comment on the above......If the rig was moving to position it's self for drilling, then this would pre-empt and over ride the outcome of the shareholders vote to become a production company from its current status and undermine the legality of shareholders rights.

We have to wait for the legal formality of the vote on the AD.

Yes alfi...The thinking behind the cosl deal was for men and machinery etc not to be sat idle and unused in the difficult oil industry conditions due to the oil price..The cosl power has been sat idle previous to and after it was chosen to drill ororo2.no urgency to drill ororo2.simon hawkins needed figures for the data room on ororo and how else could he have them without further work on ororo .

Bron - I am guessing that the 'Power' rig must be in position now, or not many days away from being in position, in order for it to produce oil by year end. If it is not in position then that can only add credence to your thoughts on BP deal 'qualifying' oil flowing from an appraisal well previously drilled.

An appraisal well can flow oil.BP requirement is for ororo to flow oil with no specific figure of how much oil other rhan it can be lower than the chevron drill flow rates .A re-entered ororo1 could also flow oil.
