Agree Sherlock, this has been a great opportunity for anyone with spare funds ,for long termers it has frustrated but I suspect many of those long termers have added at lower prices.£1000at 0.25p will compensate for any in at the top end of 4-5p...

Bobo: "we're a small, ambitious company".

The extent of that ambition, when revealed, will surprise & shock many. Only then will it be much clearer exactly why the big partners have signed up & why it's taken so long to put this together. It's rare that you see an opportunity like this where the market is still so much in the dark. PIs have always had the chance to buy as many shares here as they can afford...and at cheaper prices than any placees.

Reading between the lines...there's an lot of info to be interpreted.. for instance.. They're still waiting for the PIB in 2011 (which should be out within a fortnight) Owena's Chairman is the Ondo State Finance Commissioner. Owena's MD, Special Adviser to Ondo State, is ex Schlumberger MD. The State Governor is referred to....and it would seem that the Owena/Guarantee/SRSP partnership is to be promoted going forward to access more marginal fields. It looks as if the Chevron marginal fields within 0ML95 have been sewn up.

last paragraph 10/11/'11
The pending Petroleum Industry Bill ("PIB") is expected to further improve fiscal regimes for indigenous companies and enable preferential access for indigenous companies to onshore and shallow offshore licensing. The Department of Petroleum Resources has stated there will be another marginal field bid round held in Q4 2011 which will be exclusive to indigenous companies and it is the stated intention of various of Sirius' partners to participate in this bid round.
Information on Owena and Guarantee - The Ororo Field Partners
Owena Oil and Gas is a government vehicle owned by Ondo State set up to hold interests in Ondo State's oil and gas assets. Ondo State is an oil producing state in the South West of Nigeria where many of Chevron's assets are in production, and Owena continues to enjoy preferential access to oil fields in the state thanks to the Nigerian government's push to allocate proven oil fields to indigenous Nigerian companies.
Yele Ogundipe, Chairman of Owena, is the Commissioner for Finance for Ondo State. The Managing Director, Goke Adeniyi, is the Senior Special Advisor (Oil & Gas) for Ondo State having previously worked at Schlumberger Nigeria for a number of years before retiring as its Managing Director in 2008. Chevron, the international oil major, has been operating in the coastal area of the state, and has continued to enjoy a peaceful and mutual relationship with the government and people of the area.
According to the Governor, Ondo State is one of the most peaceful states in the oil-rich regions of the country and his administration will continue to sustain it for the benefit of the state and the country.
Guarantee Petroleum, an indigenous company designated as Operator of the Ororo field, is well-placed to participate in the marginal field programme. The Chairman, Dr Samuel. O. Omobomi graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University and sits on the board of several companies including West African Breweries Ltd, Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Ltd, Wema Bank Plc, and Ecobank Nigeria Plc. Other board members include Professor Emmanuel. A. Fayose, a professor of geology and an exploration geologist, and Mr Odion Abayomi Unuigbe who retired as the Financial Controller of Corporate Trust Group, Lagos before he left to start his Accounting Practice.

A brand new major subsea pipeline in construction that, by an amazing sheer coincidence, cuts right through Ondo blocks OML95 (Ororo) and OPL241 as it heads NW up to Lagos.

Yet another strange subsidiary has turned up, a Nigerian Incorporated Subsidiary, this is probably where all the cheap shares have ended up. 'Sirius Exploration Nigeria Limited', it sounds a bit like 'Area 51'...it's not even on the map. Talk about clandestine, even the shareholders haven't heard of it.

from 30/09/'13

'Sirius Exploration Nigeria Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary company, has entered into an agreement with Guarantee Petroleum Company Limited and Owena Oil and Gas Limited which gives it the right to acquire a 40% interest in the Ororo Oil Field'

Overview
-- The company's initial focus is the re-entry of the Ororo-1 well, originally drilled and flow tested by Chevron, located on the Ororo field in OML 95. Management expects the field to be producing with an initial production rate of approximately 2,000 bopd which is expected to ramp up to 3,000+ bopd as the asset is developed.

'Why show any interest in a £20m minnow farting around on a marginal?'

' Company will work with its partners, to put both the Ororo Field and the Oil Block into production, as soon as is practicable.'

It seems that they've kept the real prize very quiet....Ororo, although very welcome, is a distraction.

Sirius recruiting experts for Nigeria to follow a W.Oz-style business arrangement based around gas as a primary fuel. What's the betting that Sirius-Taglient will be used as a distribution agent within a vertically integrated chain, including offtake.

So Sirius contracted a well completions engineer back in January (without informing us, naturally.) Has he been sitting on his thumbs for the last 3 months? Equally interesting that Schlumberger are well completion specialists, yet this Arguello guy has come across not from S but from ADD Energy. What does ADD offer that Schlumberger doesn't? Perhaps it's that ADD are renowned gas safety experts, and they are sending in someone who has experience of handling high pressure (13k psi) zones which the COSL rig will enter at around 11000 feet.
Gustavo also has the same Perth base as Havoc gas specialists, Stein & Taylor.

If you base Ororo on 2.3p and Ororo is the smallest add in another 3-4 assets i'm hoping for at least 10p-15P based on Ororo being the smallest! You also got deeper sands! Christmas tree!

Aventdor - I think you are missing something here... when the add doc goes in it will have all assets in there and the company will be valued on that - take a look at sound energy! Even Chris Neal said this at the AGM. remember his great big grin! he wasn't talking 2-3p

It won't be sat on for another year no, which is good but it's gonna take a bit longer still to see cash flow I would say a lot later this year at the earliest then to factor other assets in that's way off, if what they where saying at he agm was right.
