Just stalling for time this firm. Not a serious oil firm at all. Just still trying to get bought out and threatening oil production as a carrot for the would be buying to make an offer. This has been going on for years hence all the delays and suffering.

Glad I didn't top up yesterday as it's still dropping, nearly did! Clearly market needs more definitive price sensitive news to get this moving not a poxy seabed survey.

I very much doubt that Partner 4 consortium finance has anything to do with getting the drill bit turning on the Ororo field.

Let's play a game of re posting posts from 2010/2011 and see how much has changed. So frustrating, at what stage pre June will news be released? April or May - has to come

Yep, Doc.
Survey done mid April, COSL take a week or so to corporate decide and a 3 week sail (from the Far East at 15 knots, say) gets us to second half May-assume all is ready for a position, plug in and drill then we are away. Lots to do before the rig arrives and presume we await Partner 4. He say yes in April when presume we and our other partners say GO!

In other words, they are working to a pre-arranged schedule which involves bringing other developments into line with Ororo. O2 green light to start drilling is dependent on other (95) assets being worked also to the point of production, so maximising tax efficiency by pulling out 30k boepd for starters within H2. Ororo conveniently acts as a cover for a host of activities going on outside and around the field, be it cable laying, fpso positioning, pipelines and whatever. All being coordinated within the target period ending during H1, at which point the drill bit turns and Sirius either becomes a Producer-Operator or gets taken out by some Mid-Cap linked to a Far East consortium partner arriving on the scene with $400m+ block development LTF. Difficult to believe that the international $80bn jv investment fund managers haven't got fingers in this particular pie, given that a string of 6 major coastal gas power plants have been readied to go, along with the huge Lekki FTZ industrial requirements.
