Because the quicker they get it drilled, the quicker they get paid. Any time during h1 to commence drilling according to rns.

DrR, it may be money. Why pay for a survey 4 months before you need to? Similarly, why would COSL commit a rig 3 months before they need to? If they are contracted to drill by June why start in February?

Ask Xerot.

Meanwhile, from lse...
"The survey's main aim will be to identify sea bed infrastructure (pipe lines) and probably more importantly shallow gas pockets within 60m give or take from surface, reason being, when the legs are jacked down, one leg collapsing into a gas pocket can lead to the jackup toppling over, as happened to Shell in the 80,s offshore Nigeria, see no reason why the survey can't be shot, and magnetometer run over the area in a day, once the boat is rigged up, another day generous, with perhaps transit times another couple of days. Processing a small survey should be relatively painless, and the data can be sent as soon as completed via email, so no need to wait for the survey vessel return. In summary 2 weeks should be comfortable, even in Africa."

The obvious Q is this. Why contract with COSL on Nov 15th, then wait 5 months until April 15th for a tiny poxy 2-day study to be carried out by a small African outfit, basically checking that they're not going to sink a $bn jack-up onto a discarded shopping trolley dumped into 20 feet of water?

3 wells coming up on Ororo, run multilaterals off of each. Min 3 needed for gas dev plan and O2 hubstation. Will be quick install wellheads slots and 10k boepd in no time H2. All done using remote control tech. Double flow from deeper H, J = 15k - 20k early 2018 from this field alone.

Progress is amazing when one considers that the Co. has a Chairman pushing 80, a CEO with no O&G production experience, no COO, no CFO and no employees other than its 12 office-based workers in Lagos.

"Polaris Consulting Company ("Polaris") which has been engaged to undertake a Seabed Survey around the Ororo field licence area."

So it is not actually ON or IN the field itself.

Floats my boat Sherlock.
As it becomes clear that the Ororo plan is on track, the Bobo comment re cash flow generative by year end will not appear quite so aspirational, will it?

Should see the RNS flow pick up as well, as we get nearer to June, only around 8 weeks away
