Indigenous Cos like Owena, GP, OilWorld have neither the financial clout nor the technical expertise to get things done. Sirius acts as their partner. A UK listed Co. is far more attractive for funders and technicians to work with than some relatively untrustworthy and unknown group in a country where corruption is normal business practice. The Co. was brought into O&G play through 2 obscure Nigerian Cos, Taglient and Sirius O&G. Mystery Cos but highly likely to be linked to Ondo State.

Sirius has remained as a service provider, the procurer. It is unlikely that they'd have been able to secure the services of Havoc and Schlumberger without anyone knowing the real funding prospects. And one offer is known to be on the table atm.

Whist Owena is the official arm of Ondo State, Sirius is the means of getting things done (albeit prep background ops), as well as a means of key investors, aided by Co. silence, accumulating cheapo shares by the ten millions.

Everything rests on timing. Clearly this is not about swinging things into production asap, nor is it just about one marginal field. So what's the logistics issue holding things up, which on resolution should take us to EGM/AGM and full revelations.

Fwiw, I think we'll see a jv partner introduced so as to bring Ororo 3 gas wells into production, alongside smaller Chevron fields in 95, followed by a complete sell-off or rto.

Here's what I find baffling. Sirius, without any track record of producing oil, secured a potentially highly lucrative partnership with a key Nigerian state and have retained exclusivity over some of its prize assets that straddle a world-class oil & gas basin. How did this happen?

5 years on and Sirius still hasn't produced any oil or even raised enough money for a single drill on a proven field, despite services costs being at their lowest point for many years....and some providers are even willing to forgo upfront costs.

Surely any other company in these circumstances would have gone bust by now or at the very least, been swiftly booted into touch by Ondo/Owena and replaced by one of the many credible E&Ps with proven ability and deep pockets. Yet judging by recent RNSs our partnership appears to be stronger than ever.

"The focus of the Company is on acquiring assets not readily available to other international companies"

"....the Company's partnership with the Ondo State government, through Owena Oil & Gas Limited which is owned 100% by the Ondo State government, provides valuable access to proven oil discoveries located within Ondo State."

Therefore, despite our seeming inactivity & inability, logically we must be doing something to be keeping our partner happy. So the key question is what are the Nigerian stakeholders uniquely getting from Sirius and what is our & their masterplan?

Happy to keep taking opps to top up at sub-1p tho would be happier now if the trigger could finally be pulled and the true assets on 95-241-2012 can be revealed.

Drrosso.sirius have not ,if they are to become a producer, acted in the interests of shareholders.Raising money at such low value has quite obviously been about how many shares can you get for your money and not how much money can the company get for the shares. As for that share price it has been totally manipulated and today's action only confirms that .Did you get your 900 quids worth?

Who might buy out Sirius' 40% equity stake in a billion quid brink-of-production operation on 2 major oil blocks? Gone for £400m.
Hasn't one of the big indigenous producers still got $453m lodged in an escrow ac pending conclusion of negotiations?

BH...is there a situation where an AGM is not needed.?who knows.
One thing is for sure if there is to be an AGM then the company will know when and will of known when for a while in my view.So why not tell us ?
Sirius have in my view never acted like a company that is going into production but have acted like a company that is going to be sold off.

Fancy a challenge? Which oil stocks do you think will gain or which will lose?

The Angel calendar measures days in months, and months in years. Divine intervention needed to get this lot to open up and reveal what's really going on. But even the RNSs contain misleading info. and appear to be cobbled together by the office junior, so never sure what to believe.

in my opinion funding has never been the problem here, if we are in with ondo / owena then they would have the funding no probs. In my opinion this has been more about getting the shares into the right hands rather then trying to find a few million to drill a well. also you start to think guarantee pet are the fly in the oinment here are they the ones causing the problems here?

Won't be buying shares ever again if I ever see my cash back here and if I do will be very very careful and speak direct to the companies involved not listen to ramping on bulletin board off complete loonies.Where's the AGM ?? they clearly are using the funding debacle to stall while they prep the blocks up has to be the case maybe we won't need funding at all just a sell off which may tie in with gas plant being built next year.. Only a theory but one as good as any other chucked about on here.

Bronislav. Can you elaborate on why you think Sirius wouldn't need an AGM?

Keyser. I hope all this extra time is paid back in a bigger share price than we all expect ;)
