25/11/2014 07:48 | Given broker price targets plus a bid premium and perhaps 50p is feasible.Thing is,over the years,an AIM listing has been as good as an advert for going private. One could be surprised by the sum of the parts to interested parties.Really it's a question of what Martin Hughes thinks the company is worth. | steeplejack
25/11/2014 07:44 | Posted this here last week 'Old news but worth a read..........' Deep pockets and all that, the 'Aesthetics' side would be of interest I'd imagine...... | soundbuy

25/11/2014 07:16 | TIDMSPH RNS Number : 8731X Sinclair IS Pharma PLC 25 November 2014 NOT FOR RELEASE, PUBLICATION OR DISTRIBUTION IN WHOLE OR IN PART IN, INTO OR FROM ANY JURISDICTION WHERE TO DO SO WOULD CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF THE RELEVANT LAWS OR REGULATIONS OF THAT JURISDICTION Sinclair IS Pharma plc ("Sinclair" or "the Company") AGM Statement, trading update, announcement of strategic review and commencement of offer period. Grahame Cook, Chairman of Sinclair, will make the following statement at the Company's AGM which will be held later today. Sinclair has a market leading aesthetics dermatology portfolio. We also have a significant product pipeline which includes Flammacerium that has already been granted orphan drug status in the United States. The Board of Sinclair believes the portfolio has significant and sustainable growth potential across the world. The Board of Sinclair is pleased to report that the Company continues to trade well and in line with the Board's expectations. The Board believes that industry recognition of the Company's growth prospects explains the significant attention the Company is receiving from a number of international companies, many of which are interested in some form of, co-operation, including: (co)-promotion; licensing of products; repatriation of distribution agreements; development collaborations; and merger and acquisition opportunities. As a result of the deliberation process arising out of these opportunities, the Board recognises that there may be organisations better placed to build on the successes to date. Accordingly, the Board has decided to appoint Rothschild to assist it in evaluating the optimum way to realise the considerable value in the Company which may, or may not, include the sale of all or part of the Company. The Board believes that Sinclair has a secure future as an independent business and will only engage with those willing to recognise and support the Company's significant growth potential. The UK Takeover Panel ("the Panel") has agreed that any such discussions with third parties may be conducted within the framework set out in Note 2 on Rule 2.6 of the Takeover Code (the "Code"). The Panel has granted a dispensation from the requirements of Rules 2.4(a), 2.4(b) and 2.6(a) of the Code such that any interested party will not be required to be publicly identified as a result of this announcement (subject to note 3 to Rule 2.2 of the Code) and will not be subject to the 28 day deadline referred to in Rule 2.6(a), for so long as it is participating in discussions with Sinclair. | dafad
21/11/2014 16:06 | The 16m shares were marked as a ? on trades of the day, IMHO they were a buy. SPH are edging closer to results and if the last results statement is to be believed they should be good. | dealit
21/11/2014 08:06 | Yep, 16m floating around, would be difficult to acquire such a stake without forcing up the share price , done and dusted for somebody........ | soundbuy
21/11/2014 07:28 | Bicycle, can you please expand on that. | eggbaconandbubble
21/11/2014 03:35 | It's a company from a different era, as a shareholder I have nothing but disdain as to the way it has been run. If I was a director , fill your boots. Its an illiquid share worth 28p, with a wide spread it's going to be hard to make a profit on this one. It's the sort of share private equity buy out knowing the fundamentals are worth more than the share price. From the same era I also bought AMS at 9p and dipped on ASOS on 3.5p after the first fire. That goes for ADVFN too, a shadow of it's former past. | whitebicycle2
20/11/2014 20:36 | I have said before cannot understand why Tosca have not bid for SPH by now. | dealit
20/11/2014 20:24 | Bought this just after the IPO and to be honest it has never been run with the interest of shareholders in mind. Just when I want to offset some CGT a possible bid is on the horizon. Never going to recoup the initial outlay but might have a small punt on the speculation. | whitebicycle2
20/11/2014 19:12 | So, in theory somebody will need to put their hand up a say they now have 16m odd (more) shares. Mmmmmm! | eggbaconandbubble
20/11/2014 16:04 | Aye, just noticed, looks as if Henderson had a buyer lined up, obviously wasn't a strategic stake for them, makes you wonder if they approached AXA on behalf of client or perhaps AXA were pitching their block and they saw they could make a bob or two, interesting times........... | soundbuy
20/11/2014 15:58 | So AXA sold out and Henderson bought it than sold 16m but retained 16m worth throihg finacial instrument. So who bought that 16m chunk? | jk1206
20/11/2014 11:43 | Old news but worth a read.......... | soundbuy
