25/5/2022 17:06 | Today i learn that the earth has not gotten warmer for the last 15 years. Only they wanted to suppress this info. I invest here because i believe in the tech and progress, not because of the lies everyone seems to want to believe. 7 years of no warming, and previous to that 15 years of no warming. Neither helps them tell you that you can't eat meat because if climate change though, or ban your car. But regardless of that inconvenient truth, pushing forward with tech like SAEs is important, if only to make the world better and to move away from oil from the worst countries. If only the gov had listened to their own rhetoric decade ago and funded it properly. | ![]() gbjbaanb
25/5/2022 13:18 | The RNS is not unexpected and its helpful to have clarity on the Abundance debt. I fully expect this request to be approved and 12 months breathing space should be enough. With a CfD win in the bag the share price should recover to the point that they can raise money in the usual ways (e.g. by issuing shares or selling off a portion of the Meygen project). Upfront payments from Uskmouth will also buy extra time. I am assuming those are contingent in SAE getting planning consent from Newport which looks likely in my opinion. The council have already decided an environmental impact report will not be required which speeds up the process. In an ideal world, it would probably have been better to enter into an agreement like this at a later point in the process (i.e. when planning consent has been received and the project is further derisked) so they could negotiate a better price but under the circumstances I think the board have handled this well. Just 6 weeks to wait now for the CfD auction results. Back in the autumn when they were scrambling to sell shares for practically nothing, I wasnt sure the company would make it to this point. | clabburn
25/5/2022 12:39 | The fact of the matter is we have been lazy, not investing enough for the longterm. Because investing in renewable energy is expensive but necessary. As obviously we are now finding out through escalating energy bills. Deny as much as you want while your pockets are being emptied and the planet raped | ![]() the codger

25/5/2022 12:08 | You're living in dreamland if you think the the human population is not having an impact on the planet. We cannot just keep taking. There will be payback,I'm terms of global catastrophes in one form or another. Sae has a good future unlike yourself | ![]() the codger
25/5/2022 11:52 | Actually the planet is not heating at all, and definitely not at an alarming rate. The "new pause" has grown to 7 years and 7 months now, that's the amount of time science cannot show any global warming taking place. But the idea the planet is warming is here along with the green revolution. Shame it hasn't been scaremongering enough to help sae! | ![]() gbjbaanb

25/5/2022 07:45 | JakNife , I have been called worse names than a conspiracy theorist nut job. You are either a deramping stooge for a hedge fund, or at best a fool, who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. If you seriously believe you can create an engineering triumph like the Simec tidal turbines, which work under salt water offshore, without incurring significant investment, you do not have a clue. The planet is heating at an alarming rate and we keep sending billions to Russia and Saudi Arabia to pay for fossil fuels. U.K. plc is belatedly waking up to the dire need for green energy. Energy prices have gone up and tidal energy is no longer seen as an expensive entity. You cannot value a company like Simec on the basis of its balance sheet. That time will come in ten years time, when it may be worth many billions. Of course any company can fail, however Simec Atlantis is not going to be bankrupt for the sake of a few million quid. This reminds me of a fable where a farmer took an axe to a breadfruit tree because it was not giving him any fruit. The tree was very young and had not reached maturity. Simec is a company which has massive growth potential. | ![]() wheeze
25/5/2022 07:16 | I would expect that the bond holders will vote for this as the alternative is they do not get paid. Not a good situation but better all round than before yesterday's announcement. | ![]() our haven
25/5/2022 07:01 | SAE's subsidiary Atlantis Ocean Energy has issued a communication to its debenture holders passed via Abundance requesting an amendment to the debenture deed which will: -- Extend the Maturity Date from 30 June 2022 to 30 June 2023. -- Allow the interest due on 30 June 2022 to be paid late but no later than 30 September 2022. -- Apply additional interest due to the amount that is being paid late at a rate equivalent to 4% per year. The Company expects to use part of the initial proceeds from the agreement with Uskmouth Energy Storage to deliver a Battery Energy Storage Site at Uskmouth, announced separately yesterday, to repay the debentures and associated interest. This request for a special resolution requires the agreement of 75% by value of the debenture holders. The voting period on the proposal has now opened and the results of the vote are expected during the week commencing 13 June. SAE will provide a further update at that time. | ![]() skinny

24/5/2022 21:42 | The codger, his aim was clearly to put doubt in the minds of those who bought, so that his paymasters could bring the price down. Very likely they were short by 10-20 million shares or perhaps more. Simec was ground down to a market cap of under 10million. How on earth was that valuation even remotely justifiable ? They used Guptas financial predicament to their gain. There are big stakes in driving companies to the brink of bankruptcy. Indeed some do become insolvent. It is well known that hedge funds use plants like jackoff to spread fear among small investors who are susceptible to suggestion. It is a sad world we live in.Onwards and upwards. I do not think we will see jackoff here again, his work is done and his credibility shattered. | ![]() wheeze

This was almost 2% of shares available to purchase in a single trade, if you exclude shares which are closely held.Expect a blue open tomorrow. This is only heading one way. | ![]() wheeze |
