07/7/2022 18:48 | Cash is definitely king for the next 12 months. The normal course of events for project developers would be to sell a stake of the project at this stage to free up capital to be recycled into the business. I wouldn't mind us taking that approach as long as they negotiate fair value for the world's most advanced tidal site with a 400mw grid connection. The uskmouth battery should help too but hard to say when without us knowing details of the deal or what the milestones are for payment. My guess is that they receive first tranche of cash if they secure planning consent which could take 8-12 months. An equity raise also shouldn't surprise anyone if it comes. The difference this time would be for the next phase of a world leading project rather than death rattle funding to stave off bankruptcy. The key thing is that the board now have options. Last autumn I wasn't sure we would reach this point. The management deserve credit for this and should take some time to savour the moment! Still a long way to go of course. | clabburn
07/7/2022 18:36 | It's always been named that, Simec own 85% of Meygen PLC | noiseboy
07/7/2022 18:34 | £66m is long term liabilities, £13m short term. The debt you need to worry about is that 13m, and it's not just deferred but they now have funding from government and the cfd too. They'll now be able to run for a fair old while before asking for cash, if at all. So enjoy the bounce for a little while, SAE investors deserve some good luck for a change. | gbjbaanb
