07/7/2022 09:15 | With this news I would look to raise as quickly as possible - One thing is that alternative energy will only get bigger - Last results I though the writing was on the wall. This however may well be a single lifeline hence raise quickly - | tomboyb

07/7/2022 08:39 | I read semi conductors and supply chain issues are a reason to blame for costs and length of time. It’s progress though | ne1sinvestor

07/7/2022 07:55 | Looks like they have got some cfd4 funding from the cfd4 website | noiseboy
05/7/2022 08:55 | NE1Investor thanks for your reply, I was out sailing yesterday and did not see it until this morning. Interesting info re crowd funding- shows there is money available for investment. As I have said before massive investment is needed - you just cannot expect the sector to be profitable from day 1 - maintaining turbines in challenging conditions offshore is no easy task and there is much learning to be done. | wheeze
05/7/2022 08:25 | Depends if they passed the financial metrics in the first qualifying round imho | noiseboy
04/7/2022 14:56 | CfD funding allocation takes into account ambition aswell as the lowest price offered. Tidal power couldn’t compete with offshore wind and solar power. The 20 million ring fenced pot for tidal power is simecs best chance to date to show ambition in the tidal sector. | ne1sinvestor
04/7/2022 10:29 | Cfd results will be Wednesday or Thursday this week. That's long been the potential turn-around point for the company. If they win a contract then the value in Meygen instantly transforms. They will potentially be able to sell a chunk of it to an infra fund for some immediate cash and go to capital markets with a vastly improved story to tell. Instead of raising cash to survive, they will be asking investors for money to start production on as many as 40 turbines and 10 sub-sea hubs with a pathway open to developing the full 400MW. The French project can also start to move forward. It may not happen immediately as the company have to prove they are on a stable enough footing to deliver but they have a decent shot. On the other hand, if they fail to win a contract I suspect it will be curtains. | clabburn |
