07/7/2022 14:20 | they don't have much choice...For the year ended 31 December 2021, the Group incurred a net loss after tax of ?71,594,000 and for thesame period had net operating cash outflows of ?6,658,000. As at 31 December 2021, the Group's currentliabilities (which included loans and borrowings of ?4,914,000) exceeded its current assets by ?7,143,000and the Company's current liabilities exceeded its current assets by ?6,285,000. These and the other mattersdiscussed in Note 3(a) to the financial statements indicate the existence of material uncertainties that castsignificant doubt about the ability of the Group and the Company to continue as going concerns. | ![]() babbler

07/7/2022 13:43 | Looking at the EMA (exponential moving averages) & Bollinger bands, the price could do well from here. You’re right, they won’t place until share price is healthier. Just my opinion, I entered the race pretty late on this one. Long term hold for me now. | ![]() ne1sinvestor
07/7/2022 13:39 | Possibly a placing. But with a guaranteed income stream in place, they could commoditise the income stream or part of it for an upfront lump sum payment. If they truly have £12m pa (thanks Clabburn for all your insightful commentary on here) then Simec should now re-rate from being priced to fail to better reflect the value of its assets. | ![]() mdchand
07/7/2022 13:37 | There won't be a placing soon, the company will want a much cash cut s little equity, and that means hanging on until the recent drop works otself out. If the share price continues to rise that simply means more for less too. So i direct a placing to happen, if it does at all, to be a fair way into the future. | ![]() gbjbaanb

07/7/2022 10:01 | Great news. Light at the end of the tunnel. This should work out to about £12M a year in revenue if the turbines are reliable. 18 months to financial close is reasonable given the state the company is in right now and the fact they will probably need a strategic investor. I had expected them to bid more capacity but can see what they took the approach they did. The great thing is they will be able to enter another phase for next year's auction. As others have said, they still need cash but this win means they should be able to get it from the market or sell off a stake in the project which will now have a significantly higher enterprise value. | clabburn
