21/6/2022 16:42 | CfD results will be released on 7th/8th July. My guess is that some are taking positions now on the assumption the news will be positive. It would be nice to see some front running over the next two weeks and then a further pop with the news. I have no idea what value the market will place on a successful CfD win but hoping for a quick rise up to £5+. We will need to wait and see. The key thing will be that it secures their near term future and should facilitate access to the capital they need to deal with their debt and get the next generation of turbines built and deployed. | ![]() clabburn
21/6/2022 16:07 | CFD must be ready to be released , fireworks maybe . | ![]() jotoha2
21/6/2022 14:31 | Is there something brewing here. Up 7% and 2.7M volume... | ![]() saadia110
13/6/2022 09:45 | Yes despite some recovery the low share price still implies heavy scepticism exists about their ability to turn their projects into cash generating assets. A CfD should represent the start of that changing but hard to say how far it will take us on its own. A contract is obviously just the first step - they will still need to build and install 80 turbines which will require significant amounts of finance and comes with execution risk. However you look at it though, guaranteed revenue support for 15 years will improve the fundamental value calculation not least because it also implies a route to market for the entire 400MW scheme. We should also not forget about the 3GW of potential in the Alderney race that could be developed through the French JV. One step at a time though. | ![]() clabburn
13/6/2022 07:16 | Since March the share price has slowly risen reflecting the positive sound bites resonating from the company. I truly believe its onwards and upwards | ![]() the codger
10/6/2022 19:54 | Good post Clabburn. I am absolutely sure the Scottish govt would not want Simec to fail and will be doing everything behind the scenes to help. Also our large shareholder has deep pockets regardless of the financial problems. All in all the market cap remains a steal for any investor, imho. I am currently maxed out though must admit I was sorely tempted to top up this afternoon after the RNS. | ![]() wheeze
10/6/2022 18:22 | Good news for sure. They will be paying very hefty interest but its far better than the alternative. Hopefully they will release some money from Uskmouth battery within the next 12 years and with a CfD in the bag should be able to access capital markets again and refinance the debt properly next summer. Dare I say it, the major share holder could even be in a position to help out by then as well. Im sure the CFO still wakes up in cold sweets thinking about the cash situation but you can see a clear path through the jungle now. All in all, the board deserve some credit here. It all looked extremely bleak last autumn. | ![]() clabburn

10/6/2022 11:01 | Yes. Less than a month to wait now. If that goes to plan, we should hopefully see a good run of news for the next 6 months or so including planning consent for the Uskmouth battery. Progress with the French project would be the cherry on the cake. | ![]() clabburn
