6th nov Berenberg buy tp 6000p up from 5900p

Very bizarre how sentiment changed here these past few months - almost seems planned. No rumours at the moment but the activist came out just a few days ago voicing his displeasure at the share price which means something will be going on behind the scenes IMO.
If the market likes the spin off next month then could also see a re-rating.

Philanderer portfolio +0.93% vs FTSE350 0.89%
Helped by this for a change, PAF, SLP and a bit of a rebound in water utilities.
SBRY is my preferred stock in the supermarket sector. Didn't like Tesco's balance sheet. Net assets for Tesco have gone from £16Bn to £6Bn in 4 years.

Portfolio just positive for the seven days, very mixed... Best ones SSPG, COA, GNK and HILS ... doghouse for MKS and TSCO.

Decision on a spin off/sale due end of this year. Ornskov needs to pull his finger out and get things moving quicker.

Something very strange is going on here. Dark forces suppressing and manipulating the share price Debt is not a problem. P/E ultra low. Competition? As Credit Suisse said even worst case scenario re: Roche share price should be 4600p+. A whole 1000p difference!

IMPORTANT
Non GAAP Net Debt has been reduced by $0.92B in Q3/2017, driven by a really strong free cash flow generation of $1.05B. Thus, it looks like that the company will be able to achieve its target of 2-3x net debt to EBITDA leverage by end 2017.

Shire Q3 2017: Ready To Fly
Shire reported Q3 2017 results that were better than consensus.

The positive signals are related to the performance of two key growth drivers (Immunology and Xiidra), which have compensated some weaknesses on Cinryze and Lialda.

With the stock trading below 10x on NTM P/E, I think investors’ patience will be rewarded.

Absolutely correct mbmiah and yet people still deny it. Goes on all the time. Sudden dive to 3439p post-results and then back again within minutes was highly suspicious. As is the 12% drop in share price in 10 days. Trouble is opening a short nowadays (in good enough numbers) seems to automatically drop the share price or at worse place a heavy clamp on the share price regardless of fundamentals. Sainsburys, M&S, Debenhams, Tesco, KingFisher have all been in lockdown for years now. Closed up 2.8% on the NASDAQ.

FTSE350 -0.2% for the week.
Portfolio -0.4% largely down to this, WPP and a utility sell off.

Looks like the surge in the US did not last long. I find the share price downward movement the past few weeks here surprising, suspicious and highly puzzling. Spin off news should have been announced today IMO to remove 'uncertainty' and appease the market.

Indices all almost flat this week as was my portfolio.
