I would hope a similar performance for the next 12 months will see shareholder equity up to $36.3Bn and total debt down to $31.5Bn. Current liabilities of $7.4Bn is within target at 1.9x EBITDA

There's no reason why Shire could not get to £60 a share. £45 would be a huge undersell.

Update: Flemming handling Q & A really well.


Update2: Flemming is a master at these Q & A, had total control of the call and bounced questions between himself and his team really well, and wrapped up really strongly. Very happy with his performance, Emma W at GSK please take note you might learn something.

Ornskov should just sell up if he gets a bid anywhere around 4500p [£41Bn] - which would be spare change for a company like Pfizer for example who missed out on Astra.

Gap filled at 3439p. When was that gap from?? & who filled it....Institutions loading up at rock bottom prices before a bid? The slide in a matter of minutes was very very dirty indeed.

Shire generated $1.1bn of operating cash flow and said it remains on track to achieve its year-end debt target.Cash flow is king.It's not just SHP that's been trashed recently.Its as if the heavyweight pharmaceuticals have been chosen as stocks with good liquidity which can be used to withdraw money from the equity market.In such circumstances,a top down approach takes little notice of individual company ratings.
