@philanderer - I worry about broker tips. You usually make money doing the opposite of what brokers say. See this article for example: hxxps://www.stockopedia.com/blog/can-you-beat-the-market-using-broker-buy-recommendations-146421/

"BUYS (dark green) performed the worst of all four sets.
SELLS (red) outperformed both holds (amber) and buys.
“OUTPERFORMS” (light green) performed best, but only beat sells by a shade."

Shell PLC (LSE:SHEL, NYSE:SHEL) has been added to Canadian broker

RBC’s Energy Best Ideas list, reflecting clarity on the message
from management, strong operational performance and a discounted
valuation.

Shell generates significant amounts of cash, noted RBC,
supported by its oil leverage and number-one presence in LNG.

Updated plans from management have focussed more on operational
reliability and momentum, which should further support cash
generation over the coming years.

RBC expects Shell to generate a superior FCF [free cash flow]
yield on average relative to the sector over 2024-25 yet it
trades at a discount on a discounted cash flow multiple basis.

Strong shareholder returns should help drive a re-rating,
while continued de-leveraging sets Shell up to become a more
stable business through the cycle, added the broker.

RBC also argued that earnings and cash flow volatility are
lower than US peers despite the trading business, a feature
underappreciated by the market with a difference between
perception and financials.

Shell shares were down 0.5% at 2,856.5p on Wednesday.

Brent oil was quoted at USD86.37 a barrel at midday in London on Monday, down from USD86.99 late Tuesday. On average, however, "oil prices are ticking upwards again, following a drop in US crude stockpiles" last week, said Hargreaves' Streeter.

As Streeter went on to explain: "Demand for fuel to power trips over the US holiday season is expected to be high. But traders are also eyeing potential supply constraints. Geo-political escalation in the Middle East is still a threat, given the ongoing violence in Gaza.

The hurricane season forecast to be particularly fierce this year, given the devastation wreaked on the Caribbean this week and if severe storms hit the Gulf Coast, refining capacity could be significantly disrupted."

I've just come back from a 4000 mile road trip across Europe in my Tesla and the package is superb. Charging points very where. Comfortable relaxed driving but before the TeslaI had an bmw i3, range of 60 miles but had a petrol generator for additional distance . That experience was awful. I would Stand at ecotrocity charger for an hour trying to Make it work while seeing Tesla install 8 plus bays everywhere. The solution was clear, Tesla is the one. I bought my car 7 years ago, lost maybe 4percent range but best of all, being an early adopter of a Tesla I get FREE Tesla CHARGING FOR LIFE!

Spud,

That's because Tesla is the runaway leader, whatever the naysayers and Musk haters say.

Superior tech under the hood according to Sandy Munro, safest car to drive on the road, best charging network.

And this is just the beginning, much more to come.
